    M543A2 fuel filter info needed

This is the water separator/fuel strainer that comes original on my xm757. One turn of the handle cleans it and no replacement element needed.

    Aervoe paint by the gallon

These images show the performance of Aervoe 24084 997b, through the years. Spray cans were used and the primer was Rustoleum as can be seen in the first picture. It's actually almost exactly ten years since it was painted today...

    Aervoe paint by the gallon

Thanks friends, I painted my xm757 8-9 years ago using Aervoe 997B in spray cans and it was a near perfect match for the Vietnam era (also original paint on the truck). It has held up very well without fading, even to this very day, but is now starting to flake off and it needs to be done over.

    AS-1729 vs As-3900 antenna question

Are the top sections of these antennas interchangeable? The AS-1729 tip has part number AT-1095 and the SINCGARS antenna tip is A3017901-2, both seem to fit perfectly on either bottom pieces... TIA

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Replaced my Stewart Warner coolant heater with a Benmar a short time ago. The exhaust was located in a different place and the control box wiring slightly different, but all work out just great. Haven't tested it yet, though. Some pictures: Also replaced the coolant with a fresh batch using...

Re: Pyro placement on the Deuce exhaust manifold!

Yes, there is a slightly higher temp in the rear. The images show location of my two probes and the corresponding read-out after a drive at idle...

    Fuel burning heater info

Had some requests for information on the Stewart Warner fuel burning heaters and thought that providing info in general might be a good idea (applies to Benmar also). This article by yours truly was first published in the Feb 2010 issue of MVM and is attached with permission from the magazine...

Not really set up for it any longer. Just get a new surplus replacement, there are plenty of them.

What to do with an m656

The original bed is made of aluminum and weighs a lot less than the steel box you now have installed. When building and adding to the truck, you need to consider weight IMHO.

What to do with an m656

Nice buy! Let me know about your progress in exploring this machine, it has many exclusive features. I have enjoyed my 757 now for ten years and love it. According to the images, your vehicle does not have the original bed (box) and the tires are also not original. If it has lockers, they were...

    M656/XM757 search

The tires are marked "16-20", but are actually 16/70-20 (low aspect ratio, tubeless bias ply types). Mitas makes a replacement tire that would fit, 405/70-20, but I'll hold out for the real thing since the tires are part of the original design and contribute to the overall performance of the truck.

    M656/XM757 search

Interesting, must visit one day. Good restoration job on both. The vinyl cab top is another almost impossible to find item and they should find a substitute for the m656 or else the interior will deteriorate under snow and weather. I made my own cab top (see pic): Thanks for posting.
