The M814 "Long Easy" had to travel to Ferro's compound for "Haspin" customizing and pimping out. Ferro says he will wash and wax it so the bugs won't stick to the front.
I would love to find a heater core for a 5 ton. Also looking for more convoy light parts, and the green dash lights for the A3( want to change out my red ones)
Well, My trip to Haspin starts tomorrow. I am moving the M814 "Long Easy" from it's spot in my backyard to Ferro's place for loading. The next leg will be from Ferro's place to Asheville on Tuesday, and hook up with Neil H for the run though Tennessee and Kentucky to Haspin.
I am yanking ferro's chain, which I try to do every time I get a chance. And yes, Ferro does have enough room for me to swing the 814. At least he better, as the 814 is coming to his house to spend the weekend before we jump off for Haspin.
Good luck. I purchased two new windshields for my 814. After installing the windshield, I found that the rubber wouldn't let the frames close so that I could latch the windows.
I had to change the rubber so I could get the window closed. Rode in the rain the other day, and no leaks( at...
Take plenty of money for the toll booths- Extra axles will kill you. My 814 towing a pickup truck was almost 75.00 dollars in tolls southbound from fort dix.

Plus the fact that a IFTA sticker is unneeded as long as it is a personal vehicle.
The problem is that not all states have the same rules. In SC, I don't have to display a plate, or have IFTA stickers. But does the MC enforcement guy/gal in TN know that? I would be really pissed if I got a ticket in TN, for following SC rules.
What about changing the rim size on the 5 tons? 20" tires are hard to come by, as only the military used that size. I am thinking about going to a standard truck rim, 22.5". It doesn't do anything extra, except that you can find a tire just about anywheres on planet earth. The 22.5 tires are...
Good luck. Easier to go down to NAPA and get FELPRO #2499. 12" X 28" flat exhaust gasket. Just cut the gasket out. That is what I did for my 5 ton.
