    Flame heater cutoff

Affraid I cant send actual pictures of my setup since its now dark by the time I'm home from work. But I'll try to explain it better. In the below picture titled "manifold heater Nozzle".... the larger 1/4" diameter return hose is what you would put the check valve on. The check valve would...

    Flame heater cutoff

I also wanted to prevent anymore leaks from the manifold heater system. So after copying someone else's idea on here somewhere, I put a check valve on the flame heater nozzle return line ($11 from mcmaster) part # 7768K65 I think I used. I also bought a 24vdc diesel rated (supposedly) solenoid...

    Dstang97's M35a2c build thread

Looks Good Dan! I like the center console. The magnetic loader was a good idea for moving the bed as quickly as it probably did. Probably a handy friend to have when working on the truck:)

    Mraps on the front

Hi Bones, thanks for the kind words. I actually am a bit behind you. I honestly havent even driven the truck with the wheels yet. Originally had sold my own adapter plates so it took a while before I had some for me again. Other than that I was slowly collecting tools & parts (big torque...

    Mraps on the front

Yes, just a t-50 staple gun is what I used. You just want to put the staple in about 23" up from the ground on each tire which should be your axle centerline with these 46" tires, measure across to the other wheel's staple and record it, then roll it forward/backward until the staples are again...

    Mraps on the front

I did the same thing but rather than screws I just stapled into the centerpoint of the tire, it gave enough of an edge for the tape measure to catch on and pulled out easy when I was done.

    Balancing Tires

Hey Thanks for the info/link Gringeltaube. Yes, I'd prefer to make my own.... or rather I'd prefer not to pay for "weight". Lead has actually gotten somewhat tough to come by around here now days. Lots of folks got into Ammo reloading & bullet molding after it started getting difficult to...

    Balancing Tires

Home Made Wheel / Tire Balancer I noticed some of the new wheels I bought this summer were balanced from the factory (had lead weights stuck to the inside of the rim, but some didnt. I want them to last as long as possible so I wanted to check the ones without weights to see if the balance was...

    Mraps on the front

I would think it should be about the same as what the recentered HEMTT wheel guys run with 395's wouldnt it?... not that i know what that pressure is though. I'll stay tune to the answer myself on this one. LOWTECH, what kind of pressures do you run on & off road? Also looking for some good...

    Manifold Heater Problems

I'm sure you know this but wasnt sure by the quote, but Di-electric grease is meant to use on the rubber connector to prevent arcing, its not a conductive grease so dont use it on electrical contact points or you may make a situation worse. I think many people assume its meant for contacts, but...

    Manifold Heater Problems

I have the same problem, I also replaced the nozzle earlier this summer and verified that works correctly. I'm not getting any flame thrower action yet either though so I guess that just leaves the spark plug/coil/wiring as the only other culprits for us right?

    Manifold Heater Problems

here is a picture of the difference of the 2. The old style is actually the Hex shaped one. It is just a nozzle and not actually a valve like the other one in the picture. If you have the painted style one in this picture, that is the NEW one and that is what your replacement one will need to...

    M105a2 CBC Door Gasket Source

    adapting mrap rims

Your taking a few liberties with my motorcycle to 6 wheeled MV comparison here.

    adapting mrap rims

Agreed. Motorcycles would be such a cheaper hobby:) Most folks buying the adapters are using them on the 4 wheeled bobbers. There arent too many folks that are putting them on a 6 wheeled deuces. I know of 4 including myself but I know a lot more bobbers. Adapters are expensive but its hard to...

    Air-o-matic problem or not

Im sure there are several ways to do it. But what I did was (Close the shut off valve, or drain the tanks first) just unscrew the inlet air hose to the drag link, I also unhooked the hoses going to the ram so that didnt end up with too much oil in it. , then start of by putting in a couple cap...

    Air-o-matic problem or not

I've had some AOM problems as well. The Drag link is really the only part to the system that I would think could do what your saying. I had some problems with my drag link. Folks were telling me to put some "marvel mystery oil" in it and in all honesty I just blew off that advice for a week...

    Official Deuce Aftermarket Wheel Thread

Sorry I cant post any pics to compare these to HEMMT rims but here are a couple pics that at least show the front of my m109a3 and how the wheels fit inside the fenders.
