If no specs are available, there are tables on the 'net listing torque specs based on the bolt dimensions and thread pitch. These specs should provide a safe substitute.

Amen brother, I was agape at the mixed/missing parts I found in the front axle of my first deuce.
A systematic rebuild of every component after purchase will be my method after this revelation.

There are the usual assortment of online sales sites, like: Kijiji Vancouver Classifieds: Free Local Classified Ads for Vancouver, British Columbia , ebay.ca and more. I use them to locate diesel Land Cruisers that never made it to US shores.

My concern (besides price) is item #4, the tires. That is the largest obvious expense right now. All the other stuff can be done with modest parts expense (seals, wheel cylinders and such). The air shift transfer is desirable, however optional at this point.

This is just speculation, but maybe the design and geometry of the front steering axle gives the heavier trucks more "sweep" of the knuckle and tire assembly during turns???

What he said, with the exception of offering the challenge of splitting off the gear without nicking the cluster gear in case you choose to save it.
