Gentlemen,
I am exploring a project and require experience outside my own. Also I do not currently have a deuce with winch in front of me to observe the design, so please bear with me! I searched the archives on this idea but was unable to create an effective search.
Is the design of the...
I would venture the private party pricing of a drivable, medium condition Unimog 404 in a price range of $5k to $9k. Bought from a business can add another $5k.
Your mileage may vary.

While I don't think they are searching for individuals owing taxes, I would take that up with Battle Creek.
Given pops is on a payment plan, I would think that he is in the clear.
Please let us know what they say. Given this economy, it will be helpful to know.

To be fair, it does look like the patrol vehicles are parked with a mind for unhindered egress.
Otherwise, those boys are fair game if they are gonna go snarf some coffee and donuts.

Holy cow, Atwater, that combine looks like its ready for harvest! It sure looks good in the pics anyway. What an elegant swoop to the back of the combine. What are your plans?
My addiction is for old cars. I have a 1960 Studebaker Lark Wagon and my Father-in-law traded for a '49 Plymouth for us...
I read the TB referenced above and believe the seats are repositioned from the sides to the center, using fabricated receivers that are bolted to the bed.
In the TB the only NSN's I read about were for the nuts and bolts and small hardware.
Hey, I bet PB is about as friendly as OB for parking...
hehehe, with that jacket and stonework, I'd say that ain't San Diego!
BTW, I'm a San Diego boy from 92107. I've been meaning to ask where are you based?
Rick
I was curious about the advantages of center seating for non-military personnel transport. I looked at the TB regarding the fabrication and installation of center facing troop seating into the deuce: TB 9-2320-209-30/4
If I am reading the TB correctly, there are base brackets serving as...
So you are saying it is possible the AC tap is superfluous?
If that's the case, it doesn't seem like it would be too much trouble to build a test bench to run the alternator and test the output. Even if I got the alternator free I would still like the opportunity to upgrade to dual output...
I don't have your answer, but I may have a solution.
First, I bumped a thread that has a good wiring schematic in post #18. the thread is by Recovery4x4 and mentions a wiring schematic in the title. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/3843-peter-bogs-cad-deuce-schematic-2.html
Next, I suggest...
Question: Why are interior light housings always white? Are they from a different application? I would guess so since I have never seen a light in a deuce from the gov.
Rick
I can see why that may not be a lasting part, it's right in the middle of action!
Did you give a call to White Owl? George has always had the little stuff I like to bug vendors with!
Rick
Possible thread Hi-jack alert......
Thanks for the reply. It sounds like the 20,000 # air operated winch may be pretty close to a one person (driver) operation.
One last question about the 20,000 winch with pneumatic shifting and brake:
Where were these air shifted units used, front and...
Wow that is sure interesting news to me! Would you happen to have photos of said air shifting and any chance the 10,000 Garwood could receive air shift?
Thanks,
rick
