What is the average gl auction price?

A rough looking truck with missing soft top and no bed cover should go about $900. A pretty truck with hard top, winch, fold down sides and a heater should go for about $2700 The US region, number of trucks for sale and time of year can affect these estimates by about 20%. An important...

    Shipping a Bobbed Deuce overseas

Maynard, To what country are you intending to send the vehicle? I cannot think of a coastal country in SA that will be classified as restricted, but it would be good to check first before making any commitment. Any licensed US exporter can identify the classification of the deuce, so you do...

    Funding option? - Advice needed!!!

pawnee, I don't have any advise or experience to share but I do want to wish you well on your exploration of a perfectly good idea. I believe the internet will be your friend in researching the formation of a museum and certainly discussing your ideas with MV curators will be helpful. Rick

This could be mine... This will be mine!

Man, that truck looks real good in the photos. If you have driven it and are comfortable with the way it steers and stops, you are paying a great price while eliminating the risk of saving a few bucks going through the auction process, Rick

    My V8 big block Deuce

mudguppy has a solid recommendation. I will add that in my experience, a divided dual exhaust sounds too raspy. A dual system with a cross over or a 2 into 1 muffler (as recommended by mudguppy) will mellow the BB noise sufficiently and give you the rumble when you demand it. Rick

    Windshield Wiper Motors

I bought 2 new plastic motors and had the same trouble. I even dis-assembled one looking for a fault. During the ad-hock diagnostics, I learned that a shot of full pressure shop air kicked one into operation! I did the same to the other one and was in business. I guess the limited pressure of...

New member, looking to buy deuce to travel continent

It's the paint scheme that'l trip ya...... It's not the military truck that makes you stand out. It's the military camo paint. I considered driving a deuce down to Central America a few years back. When the Northern Mexico border issues spiked, I (the wife really) decided the uncertainty was...

    fail-proofing full hydro steering

I would surmise (not "know" 'cause I'm not an engineer) that a fully hydro system, in order to work properly at both crawl and highway speeds would be an engineering marvel. In other words, the geometry of the steering and the power assist would be designed to work together to accomplish the...

    fail-proofing full hydro steering

GR, Is the Red Neck Ram a fully hydro install or an add on "assist" system? I thought it was the later. Rick
