Brad, you should groom the sensors from the old to new engine. The sensors need to match your gauges. They will read incorrectly if they don't.

Nothing is going to rust in the fuel sysem unless it is contaminated and sits with H2o in it. As long as you do your checks so you can keep an eye on what you put into it....if the supplier as a bad load, you will get it.... and, from experience, stay away from places that sell bio fuel, a...

Check the blow by tube and valve covers where the blow by tube bolts to them. Silicone is a bad thing. So are mud daubers.

I am real rusty on them, but as stated above, either a gear pump or the fuel jumpers. Is it way over full on oil? If so, pull the VC, bet it is a jumper.

I do know that the cylinders are electroplated. The plating likes to peel off. When that happens, the engine needs to come apart and be re plated. Get a bore scope and inspect the cylinders. Don't have a clue as to how expensive/hard to find the parts are. We have one at the Museum, but it is...
