th400 help with bolt identification SOLVED

Ok I'm going off old memory but I thought those bolts held the pump together. For some reason I remember those lines cut out on the heads for them. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

    Paint Question

Looks like you got fire company yellow. If you want the same color you'd have to get it matched. You might get lucky and find a rustoleum yellow that is the same. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

How to get an Allen key between the starter ring gear to measure the distance - M1009 / Chevrolet Blazer K5 6,2 Diesel

You'll probably need a new starter. With the holes not right it won't line up properly. There's a bunch of those brackets for sale on ebay Amazon etc. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

How to get an Allen key between the starter ring gear to measure the distance - M1009 / Chevrolet Blazer K5 6,2 Diesel

Ok, you found a few problems. Gotta use the correct starter bolts that are knurled on the middle by the threads. Those align the starter to the flywheel. My fear is that the holes in the starter are no longer round but egg-shaped from moving around. The starter will not work if they are. That...

How to get an Allen key between the starter ring gear to measure the distance - M1009 / Chevrolet Blazer K5 6,2 Diesel

Yup gotta take that cover off. It's 6 bolts on the outer edges then the ones that hold one the transmission lines. Those lines run right over that cover and have to be bent out of the way or unbolted from the trans to get the cover out. Either way is not easy. Can damage the lines bending them...

How to get an Allen key between the starter ring gear to measure the distance - M1009 / Chevrolet Blazer K5 6,2 Diesel

You have to remove the torque converter cover to see the gears. Why do you want to do that check? Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

Why is my M1008 floor getting so hot?

Get a heat gun and see how hot it really is. Mine hits 120 on the hump after a good drive. I put lizard skin heat control on the floor and it stays around 80 now. They do get hot. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

MEP803A no oil pressure after oil change.

I have no idea how I remember that but forget where my glasses are. I hope that's what's wrong with it. I know I've gotten a little crazy getting that fuel filter off! Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

MEP803A no oil pressure after oil change.

If I remember right there's 2 sensors for oil pressure. 1 for the genset and one for the gauge. Any chance you bumped the wire when changing the fuel filter? I think that one is right there with the filters. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

Seems like this is turning into a build thread.

Glad the reverse lights work now! It's odd the diagram you posted shows 4 wires when there's 6 with both plugs on the truck. Throw it in reverse and see if one of the wires gets hot...I'd back probe that since I think the harness grounds itself with one of those wires. If not I'd run another...

    M1009 front drive shaft

Yup that's what I said. Won't fit a blazer but they're out there for the blazer from the same company on amazon just didn't look it up yet. Curious as to what you had to lathe to get shocks to fit? Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

    M1009 front drive shaft

Hey I just saw you posted about a 1009. I'm not sure that front driveshaft will fit since I put my 1028 in to find it. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

Mep 803 home and shop feed

The new flex is 379 list price. It's the one that does any size up to 6 tons. If you can find the older models for the 2 ton ones, they were right at that 250 price. I did the flex just because it had a bunch of goodies that I can look at how it's working plus a surge protector. On a side note...

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

Ugh!!! I'd cut that into a square and tack around until you get it all welded in with a new square piece. Have to do it slow so it won't get to hot. Sand it smooth. Top it off with a thin skim coat of leveling putty. I have the 170 from hf. It's the dual voltage 110/220. Use gas. Welds very well...

Mep 803 home and shop feed

The new micro air one is very nice. I put one on mine. My lights never dimmed before, but I have put them on homes that did. Usually a home with a 100 amp service. Pulling 80 amps starting the ac did dim the lights. Older homes. If the load can't be supplied to the compressor and other...

Mep 803 home and shop feed

Ok, but the start-up for those 2 could be too much to start the units start-up load. It won't hurt the genset, in theory, but could damage the compressor. It won't start properly. Could damage the capacitor for the fan or compressor as well. I'd check each leg load to make sure they're close to...

Mep 803 home and shop feed

I gotta ask if you checked how much start up amps your ac takes. Unless they're under 2 ton they probably pull 50 amps on start up. Have your electrician friend stop over quick and test it. Some have the start up amps on the panel that covers the switches. Unless you're watching the load meter...
