Low range in the Tcase. 1 on the transmission. BTM as described. Don't spin. Don't apply more power than you have traction to support, unless you're making progress. If you're making progress, all bets are off.
A little left to right can allow side lugs on aggressive tires to get a bite and...
I've never had an issue with the tires on them. Even the genset carriers loaded to 4200lbs.
I've dragged a couple of them from Yermo to KS on tires dated 2003 without issue.
Here's what I do when grabbing one - air up immediately with portable air or within the first 10 miles or so. I...
I've had dozens of them. I've had an issue exactly once with brakes dragging. Opening the bleeders resolved it.
I've got one for sale in the classifieds currently.
Dual voltage alternators.
And as you said, it was specifically designed to prevent an imbalance.
Without a dual voltage alternator specifically designed to avoid it, it's an "evil tap."
As I understood it, the original reference was without a dual voltage alternator and the protection provided.
I did mine like this - the white cable is hardwired into the back of the slave port, and then terminates on a 30amp Anderson Powerpole.
The battery charger terminates on a 30 amp Anderson Powerpole.
The solargizer terminates on a 30 amp Anderson Powerpole.
In normal use, the solagizer...
Please do.
Here's what i did with one of my PD boxes - i removed one of the pass throughs for the 208v 3 phase and wired in some high amperage 120v single phase and 208v single phase female plugs.
Looks like what I have.
They're continous run.
208v 3phase. Here's what you should expect to have for power output-
4 20amp 120v GFI single phase convenience outlets. These will take a normal plug.
1 60amp 208v 3phase J1 5pin port controlled by the contactor. This takes a special plug and...
14.00's are somewhat scarce. If you're sticking with 14.00's on your truck, you probably want to keep them and mount them on your wheels.
Upon closer inspection those may be off a crane.
Ballpark is $500ish. @Jbulach may have some useful information to add.
The MRAP is a GWOT thing. They...
Whatever it was, it is no longer an issue. (And that fact alone rules out a bunch of stuff.)
I drove the M998 today. Started on the first revolution. Ran fine. No white smoke. The usual amount of power I expect from the gutless turd of a 6.2. I drove it far enough that the cooling fan was...
The MRAP rim goes on an MRAP of course :)
They can be used on M35A2s as well (with the appropriate adapter plate), and that's who you're going to find who may want it.
The combat rim is either leaking at the valve stem or O-ring most likely.
