Anyone know what tape is used on the ends of the wire looms? It looks like simple electrical tape, but it is not slimy when it get old like regular electrical tape.

All,
Behind my passenger kick panel, I found a couple of wire will ring terminals on them. I am wondering what they should be connected to.
Will post pictures next post.

All,
Does anyone have any experience with light guards? I just got some new heated LED headlights and wanted to protect them. I saw this YouTube video of a German owned truck where he had a polycarbonate lens protector save his headlight. Next post will show some pictures and ideas. I do like...
I have an A0 winch with the harness from that.
I am installing on an A1 truck. Instead of wiring into my truck harnesses, I am proposing rewiring it to be always hot. I took a crack at the wiring schematic.
Will post next post the pictures.
@Ronmar any thoughts? Anyone else?

I need to replace the rubber mounts for my headlights. I searched the parts database…. And the forums. No luck.
Anyone know what I need to get off McMaster? Or dimensions? I need to get an order in hopefully today.
If no one has the info, I can get to mine later this week, just don’t have...
I am looking for a panel mount fuse box. One that would be flush with the panel face, have an easily removable cover, and conceal the wires and everything behind the panel.
What I am thinking is cutting it into the passenger kick panel.
Anyone see anything for this? I have looked and found...
Are you guys putting reflectors on (like tape reflectors) in addition to the stock reflectors or trying to stay less visible for boon-docking?

Anyone ever route wires inside A pillar?
It looks like there is a path, but it looks like a pain to route. Contemplating running down through this hole.
All,
Starting a thread on my install using Waterloo parts.
So far I am impressed. Pictures are coming.
made a template for the new holes out of flashing tin with paper printouts taped on.

I k stalled the wire harness into the back of the fording switch.

I did a search….. but my question was not found by me. Lots of questions below.
I need to prime some new steel parts. There is mil scale on it and I cannot sand blast.
Do you have advice on prep?
I was planning on Scotch pad on a grinder to knock off critical areas of thick scale. Then...
All,
I have a couple things I am gluing to a Behr painted truck.
I am gluing a flat glass panel using windshield adhesive.
I am gluing a fiberglass panel in using Sikaflex 252.
I am gluing a patch of steel (sealing a hole in an unweldable location) using 3M Urethane Seam Sealer, 08362...
Added two gauge locations.
I have not decided on the final additions…. Feel free to make suggestions. I need to drill a few holes for the indicator panel and light switches, but you get the idea.
Bottom right are for cruise control. Next tree up are for my winch control (no more view...
So the tank that fits the best has no fittings.
I can use these:
1 1/2" UNISEAL Flexible Tank Adapter (Bulkhead) - 2 Pack https://a.co/d/fO0kADS
I can try to plastic weld in bungs (I have not found any hdpe bungs yet, might have to make them).
or I can put in an access cover and put in...
All,
What are you using?
Where did you get it?
Is it DOT approved? Fire rated? Does it need to be?
I am about to make my panels…. Need to finalize the material.

All,
Looking to add some LED strobes to the truck…. Like the construction trucks use (not a light bar, the small packs in the grill and tailgates).
Anyone have a quality, but affordable option?
I found lots of cheap Chinese ones, but do t want to waste time on ones that won’t last...
I have a 6 spots (3 shown in the picture) that I need to patch.
No one will probably ever see it. Should I try to weld it in (I am not the best at thin metal), or patch over with a small plate and body caulk?
this Is not a show truck.
Thanks!
Ok…. I have a slow leak and I do not have time to mess with CTIS yet…. Too many higher priorities.
So, instead of me standing there for 20-30 minutes airing up tires every time I want to go for a drive, I started a small easy project.
Only my rear tires have a leak, so I am working on only 4...
Anyone ever use the unused dash lights for something else?
Contemplating using the van door open, chemical detected, and dump bed up lights for something.
Just curious what you did, how hard it was to tap into, and where you picked to tap into the harnesses.
