Is there a less painful way to get these metal plates loose other than an impact screwdriver? I had no problems getting the ones off the walls. I have stripped three screws and broken the teeth of five number 3 impact screwdriver bits. And I still have all the plates firmly attached to the floor.
Thank you. We installed highway gears about a month before EcoHubs became available. We have the EvoHubs as well. I have five new tires and just finished installing two 550 biracial solar panels with two 300AH batteries and a 3000w inverter / charger. I got to replace rear sway bar bushings...
CARA is a 1998 M1079 we are converting to a camper. My wife wants to keep her looking as original as possible so we will not be lengthening her. I would like so see how other people configured theirs. Specifically I would like to know how much fresh/gray/black water they have. Where are your...
I'd like to add an extension to the rear of my 1998 M1079 similar to the one Michael Ladden did on the Drive the Globe M1079. Has anyone else done this? If so, was your frame steel or aluminium? How did you attach it to the M1079 habitat? Is there anything that you would do differently?
EcoHubs installed then front end alignment. Hopefully will get solar panels (Renogy 550 bifacial) installed tomorrow to clear up storage space to put seat and parts from cab while LizarsSkin sound and heat shields installed before heading back to work this weekend.
The steering wheel on my M1079 has about a 20 degree roataion to it as I drive straight. The truck drives well, just steering wheel rotated. Any suggestions on how to align the monster front end?
The mirrors are constantly being blown into different positions rendering them useless. What have...
I'm the Medical Director for the Goodyear Proving Grounds here. They worked a sweetheart deal for me. I've overseen their first responders and taught Stop the Bleed courses for them for five years without reimbursement.
Apparently CARA has a zombie CTIS controller. The CTIS controller on CARA (1998 M1079) has always flashed all five lights as soon as the engine was started. Since I installed the MWM air dryer replacement the CTIS has come back to life and is working perfectly. I'm sure glad I didn't buy the...
They are brand new. CARA has four 2008 and one 2005 tires that appear brand new with whiskers and no evidence of dry rot; however, I do not feel safe riding on them. The price of the new tires is less than my funeral would cost.
I converted CARA (1998 M1079) from four to two batteries. Installed replacement MWM air dryer. New tires arrived today. I’m awaiting O-rings to service CTIS when I mount them.
