I had a switch that was the same way. I could never get it adjusted to the point where the tails would come on with a light touch of the brake pedal, it was either off until you smashed the brake pedal, or they were always on. The TCC lockup somehow wasn't affected tho.
I bought a nos switch...
Reminds me of the Jeep people telling me my TJ would run hot with a winch and lights in front of the grill. I don't think it went up a single degree. lol
Almost T-boned some Maine bimbo at an intersection today. The brush guard was probably 6" from going straight thru her side doors windows. It was lined up perfectly with that bubble head of hers.
Then to top it all off, she acted like it was my fault. lol
So just for kicks, I decided to calculate the mpg of the Humvee.
I drove it 154 miles between fill ups, and it took 11.54 gallons. So if my math is correct, it's averaging 13.34 mpg.
That's mixed driving around the city, country back roads, and even some trips up and down Rt95 going 70mph.
