G749 Trucks hard to come by

M211 pics Here's some pics of the M211 I got yesterday. The cab is in very rough shape as is the hood. The rest of the truck is in better condition than my original 211. My initial thought is to use the '54 as the donor truck by swapping out the cab and hood on the new truck. The place I got...

    M1009 starting problems

It sounds like a problem I had. All the same symptoms. After many tribulations I narrowed it down to the fuel filter. If you have one of the POS rectangular stock fuel filters, there may be a hairline crack, which causes fuel pressure prime to drop and you cannot start the engine except thru...

    M66 Gun Ring Assembly

I did a search on the TM 9-1005-245-34&P and there's a couple sites with that TM. I don't believe they're downloadable but I'm not computer savvy enough to figure it out. The copy I saw said distro C, which makes you wonder "What the ????

MV of the Month June 2016

Does that Coleman have four wheel articulated steering? I know I'm getting old when I see a tug I towed H-3's with in Iceland. The base is shut down, the H-3's been gone for 20 plus years and I haven't seen one of these tugs in, like, forever! ♿️♿️♿️

    Gun truck build questions

How much did those plates cost? Some time in the future I'd like to put the real thing in instead of the "replica" steel I'm using now.

    War Wagon

Update Update: almost ready. Painting is almost done, same with the trucks name. Vic 1 installed including positions for 4 gunners/NCOIC. Still missing one power cord. I'm on the lookout for a cable that goes from the battery to the MX 7777.

    War Wagon

Vic 1 install in progress. Hooked up the radio so it looks correct. Maybe one of these days I'll find a working radio. No pics today, progress was in the little things. Installing wires, clamps, correct power cables. I'll post tomorrow with pics if I get the painting done. I figured out how...

G749 Trucks hard to come by

Coming back from So Cal, you can take the 5 to Sacremento, then cut east to I80. That'll take you to Salt Lake, which is where you head east toward Evenston WY. Time from the I80/I84 interchange to Laramie County is about 6 hours. I25 takes almost all the way to Billings, if I remember...

G749 Trucks hard to come by

The engine came from the local forest service maintenance yard. They got rid of tons of stuff including 6 or 7 engines. I grabbed two and some other stuff. I'd like to have a hard top but can't afford one. I'm focused on my Gun Truck right now. Trying to get it ready for Armed Forces Day...
