Just letting you know I live 1 hour away from Letterkenny and have picked up many items. I have even picked up items for others for a delayed pickup.
I also "flat towed" several gen trailers without an issue. Those military trailers are heavy duty.

Just a question. Where do most gen people buy your parts? Also would you convert to civilian or stick with original make?

Back when I first got the "Green Disese," I figured if the military used Pintle / Lunette hitch devices, it was good enough for me. Now, after having a dump trailer, I'm glad I did!

804b I have a bad lower float switch. Figured to just unhook it at the connector. It runs now, but of course you will not have Aux fuel capability with this inoperable.

I have made a mixture of waste motor oil and reg ul gas. I Use a 5 gl bucket. Pour in one gal gas then four gal wmo. Let settle 6 weeks. Pour off four gallons of black oil and scrap the last gallon. If you don't use a centerfuge to get rid of the solids you should do this process. Not a rule but...
Just happened to watch this on youtube.
Inside Hawaii's Most Isolated Island (no traffic lights)
Peter Santenello
Interesting vid on Hawaii. Never been to any Islands but this guy does interesting videos on the places and the people.
Nothing to do with hummers but does the islands have an...
I dont know everyones history but blue locktite works just fine. Also you can take it apart if needed. Red locktite requires either 250 or 450 degrees to release. If you dont heat it you most likely twist off the screw. Just a thought not preaching. P.S. Never seze is the greatest for taking...
Didn't know if I should start a new thread but I will ask here first to see what people know.
I have purchased several MEP units. All on trailers. From Gov Planet ( even Gov liquidators). The question is what happens to all the accessories that were on the MEP trailers when they were turned in...
You are correct. There is a parking lot with a wall of stuff on one side and the surplus yard on the other. They wont let you in the main yard but you can look around the corner. Several times I had a Ford F250 with a pintle hook and the loader set the lunette eye right on the hook. No backing...
I have had a MEP 802 for a few years now but haven't had to use it since the local (Potomac Edison) power company has improved the maintenance in my area. Its good that the electric has been on and have not had to use the gen much but that is OK with me. One thing that my son found out about...
I live pretty close to Letterkenny so I prefer to buy one on a military trailer. Only problem is the full size foot print of the trailer. Is it so odd that once you get one gen set it automatically turns into two or more. Just a thought to new surplus buyers military stuff sometimes military...
I come and go with life's issues but now I just bought a 804b at Letterkenny. About a year or two I was working on another gen set I bought and found that "Someone told me" is quite an expert on gen sets. He worked on them many years and I am impressed with his knowledge. You will be to if you...
I am a Diesel supporter ( Ford 7.3, VWTDI, Kabota Diesel, Nd MEP 802). But just weekend I visited my Cousin and she had a Chevy Bolt. On the dash display it reported since last charge 70 miles use 15kw. Is this normal? At 10 cents a kw here (MD) times 15 = $1.50. My grand Cherokee at 17mpg gas...
One of the grand plans is;
Electric vehicles plugged in charging.
When grid needs power it would skim some back out of the car batteries till the grid leveled out. Then it will go back charging.
Sound strange? Bet its not.

Attended Friday with a few rain showers. Lots of great vendors, bought several items. The military vehicles were very nice. Even had a early 1960s maintenance truck there with a driveshaft operated generator / welder on board. If your in the area support the event. Its especially good now it's...
Is there a way to print a thread to a file to store on my PC? Pictures and words. I was able to do it on a tablet once before. I can't seem to do this on my current electronics.

Wonder how the dash gauges and electrical components hold up to the river forwarding? Not to mention water getting into all the gearboxes. Not a concern when at war but as a hobbyist a lot of work to clean it up afterwards.
Thanks for posting pics are great.
