Update:
I'm a bad dog and get no biscuit. I hadn't started this genny since the derecho, see post above, in May of 2022! That's no good. That being said, I primed the engine (you can see it in the control panel in the video below) and it lit off after no more than two turns of the engine. Fuel...
The -10 TM says "Operating on snow or ice requires use of tire chains on forward-rear axle tires. Refer to FM 21-305 for installation of tire chains." and goes on to say "NOTE Use tire chains on forward-rear-axle-tires. For M939 series vehicles place chains on outside tires." I usually use two...
Yes, I think there's a little confusion there. The pump and it's bits are in the -24P TM. The WP to replace it is in the -14 TM. Attached are the two pages that contain the pump. A quick internet search of part number "J6BC-325-3" should provide joy.
I love the H-140 heater.

I think you're exactly right. It was seamless to register my M923 in South Dakota with an SF97, they could have cared less. My past experiences in the big city (Seattle) were hell.
Fellas,
I've been searching for the last 3 hours and am hoping someone can share the part numbers for a 24si alternator and pulley that will work on my M923 with an NHC250. I can take it from there on getting it installed. I see lots of threads on the conversion but no part numbers. I've read...
I'm trying to do this conversion on my M923 with a NHC250. Are there any part numbers anyone can provide for both the alternator and especially the pulley. Finding the right pulley seems to be the key but I can't find any part numbers anywhere! Thanks.
I was just going off what others have said in other threads. Perhaps I should have worded that differently to reflect that. I did not mean to cause any worry. That being said, I suppose that only problems are posted here with everyone else that have fine transmissions don't post - if that makes...
I'm paying it forward. Lot's of great folks here have helped me as well. I also used to write TM's decades ago so I like 'em, a lot! :cookoo:
Please report back on anything you find. I think I'm one of the lucky ones that hasn't had any trans issues... yet?
TM 9-2320-272-23-1, WP 0014 is related to lack of power and transmission. TM 9-2320-272-23-2, WP 0268 has some but the main adjustment is in TM 9-2320-272-23-3, WP 0365.
Good luck!

Thanks for the helpful responses. I've also pulled the harness from the PCB and will see how wire 5 intertwines with the other wires mentioned. I like the PCB (again, I'm having fun here) so I want to keep it.
I'll post pics of the bracket I made once it's all up and running.
Thanks again!!
Allen
My M923, which has the same transmission as yours, shifted way late from 1 to 2, and way early on the remaining shifts. It was all fixed after I adjusted the modulator cable per the TM. The cable appeared new on the vehicle when I bought it, but I don't think it had been adjusted. If your...
Here are the tags on the wires from the harness. Wire "5" is the main output (with an extra "POS" tag that was on it) and the exciter wire as you call it is labelled 568 which both match the wiring diagram, P2P and tracing the wires through the harness.
So not sure what you're talking about...
Forum,
I have the following battery setup on my M923:
and am upgrading from this stock 60 amp alternator:
to this alternator that is 260 amps at 28v and 140 amps at 14v:
The reason being is that I have added an A/C kit for a M915A2 that is 14/28v, an Eyecon light system, and other...
I wanted to report back on this generator. It's 61 years old now with two resets. One in the late 60s (USACOE) and one by me documented in this thread. We recently had a derecho and tornadoes move through last week. It annihilated the power grid - it's unbelievable until you see it. And the...
