.Good morning everyone. We finally got off high center and back to moving forward on the Roost. The deuce and 5 ton wheels were all broken down and deuce wheels and rings sandblasted, wire brushed, primed and painted. we had to repaint when mounted on truck, I tried to rattle can the hubs, studs and nuts but the can did not match the spray gun for some reason, maybe the thinner we used and ratio. working on getting the roof back on her now but will be doing a run and on vacation wiht the boys for the next couple of weeks so not much progress will be made. Those corners turned out good ! You might have roofers blood in ya after all !Roof done for now. Haven't water tested yet. Windows came in last week. Last shoot this weekend and hopefully will get some faster progress soon. Pulled seats from red truck and had radiator cleaned hoping to solve overheating issue. Planning on raptor line whole truck sand color with black body lines. Roof didn't turn out quite like I wanted but should be good to go after sealing with raptor line. Hopefully get on road to test drive this week. Looking for a good hard top if anyone knows of one. I might have to reskin the top of one of the ones I have or swap over the red top for time being. Been busy with work and doing 4 shoots this month. View attachment 930002View attachment 930003
Ty. Wish I was with the. When they cut them out. But it is what it is. As long as it doesn't leak I'm good with it.Those corners turned out good ! You might have roofers blood in ya after all !
Ya sent it off to get milled and a tune-up. Very happy with it. Red dots are the best for old tired eyes heheSo ... 'bout that 1911; sure looked familiar. One heartbeat of where the flip is my BBR (carrying otherwise today) before I realized that ain't mine.
It's the 507 on a compact that twisted up the heartbeat.

Man u been gettin it done ! Way cool rifle drawer !Progress report 10-17:
Overheating issue resolved, Drove 200 mile round trip last weekend ( Sunday afternoon was pusing 100 ambient) no issues.
Tstat was broken in open position and replaced,
Replaced the radiator with the one that was on the red deuce, it was NOS and had been replaced recently it looks like.
Waterjacket was really rusty, poured 7 gal of evapo rust in cooling system and ran it for a couple of days, flushed and re flused several times now have clean system.
Swapped all the fuel filters with the spin on ones that were on the red deuce and put new filters on both trucks.
Winch and bumper cleaned, painted and installed except for drive and PTO. I will have to pull winch this winter and rebuild, selector shaft is broken off in the case.
G177s are the best, I bought 3 from Fuzzy and put 2 on the trailer to even it out and mounted a hoist in the back of the trailer to lift the spare in and out.
a couple of gauges replaced.
4 camera system installed.
backup light installed.
Found some Mammoth Tusk I think I am going to put on the 1911. I was going to re scale a fixed blade but looks pretty sweet on big girl. Not related but I guess it is if its a EDC hehe.
Repaired the best Jpipe I had, I found some prebent 90's to fix the other 2 trucks. all of them were rusted out at the bottom.
I found a COP Box and used it for the bed base and test fitting some tool chests to see how the floor plan will work out.
I still have a couple of roof leaks I need to address soon and I think my fuel tank pump is not working or if it is it is intermittent.
Mike V. is looking to see if he has a heater unit for me so I can be a little warmish for this winters adventures.
Still looking for a good cab if anyone knows of one in the Texas area.
Sorry for the lack of communication, it has been a busy few months.
Macerator toilets are pricey and i had them on busses for 30 yrs and they are not all that ! They will grind turds and bio toilet paper most of the time but will not grind dead red rats if you know what i mean ! I made alot of money getting them out lol ! That once dumped on the accountants desk they gladly paid but moral of the story you can just put a plastic trash bag in the toilet for have to cases and use other bathrooms for solids 99 percent of the time use THETFORD holding tank treatment u wont smell anything ! Rule no.1 you never can have enough storage ! Line every wall top to bottom with light weight cabinetsThanks @chucky
I am just fillling holes to see how everything will finally end up and use stuff that is readily available and repurpose stuff and utilize every sq inch I can wisely. I think I will put a grinder toilet beside the sink with a curtain around it and use an outdoor shower instead of indoor. Something kinda like the picture, I saw where you can get inserts ti plumb it in the wall and have access to the valves and wand.
Where was the team shoot?Drove the ol girl on a 500 mi round trip to a team shoot last weekend. 8.5 hard miles with 9 shooting stages. We got 13th out of 56 teams. Dog bone came off on front side and plowed into the ground, luckily I was driving into the camp. Did a field repair and walked her home. She ran very good with no issues except for the almost crap show.
