Caught these C-130's flying BELOW SEA LEVEL at the DEAD SEA.

Saw these two Israeli C-130's flying in loose formation over the DEAD SEA the day we visited there last week.

Bear in mind that the DEAD SEA is 1200 ft BELOW SEA LEVEL. The altimeters in these birds were probably reading NEGATIVE NUMBERS !!!

Thanks for the Podington vid!

At :55 it shows a Cletrac M2 Medium High Speed Tractor doing what they do best ----. May have been called out to use it's air compresser to help inflate lifting bags to get the B17 back on it's feet---then probably towed it to the hard stand.
They were very popular with the ground crews during the war--very useful.

There is another Podington video that shows 2 Cletracs' side by side, towing another B17 that ended up out in the hedgerows after landing long. The title is "B17 1944 being towed from a corn field at Podington Airbase Bedfordshire UK WWII"
