Some ISL-400 **** to hold you over. Check out the electric fan clutch. I left the Mr T chain on it for the photo op. Valve cover and rocker box really needs some paint. Want to swap that exhaust manifold for a high mount turbo one for heater core box clearance, like the stock 6CTA8.3 has.

Engine external dimensions and bolt pattern, yes.

Modernized on the inside. 4 valves per cylinder, roller lifters, variable turbo, 2 piece steel topped pistons, common rail high pressure EFI, and intake grid heater. SAE certified 400hp/1200ft-lb.

The motors I was working on were 450 and had the 4 valve setup.

Yep. Latest gen is rated to 450hp. I may be able to get a 450hp calibration for my ECM, or not. I believe they had revised the high pressure fuel system to reach that level (XPI vs CCR). Marine ratings are not yet clear to me as to what was available, I am seeing upwards of 600hp? Still fuzzy.

I could not stand the exposed oxidized aluminum anymore. Just a quick rattle can fix to keep it from worsening while she awaits her new assignment. Not going for show car level, she'll run good and the hood will seldom be opened.
