Your pictures are the truck equivalent of a coma patient starting to wiggle a finger!
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
I don't blame you - there's no way I'm doing bearings and axle seals in a foot of snowWork always ruins it, that and waiting for warmer temps so the ice (water) melts. Gonna work on it Friday afternoon and Saturday.
Yup, not gonna work on my truck. Probably went to the other MV the department had years ago. The two are the same though. Figured I could pass them on to someone else who might need them. The one wheel looks like it goes to a 5-ton or FMTV - ten stud holes there. Three kinds of tires there too anyway.
I see what you mean now, different tread pattern! Someone is gonna pick em up though! The one wheel looks like it goes to a 5-ton or FMTV - ten stud holes there. Three kinds of tires there too anyway.
I took a closer look at the rim. I think that would go on an older 5-ton since it only has ten clamp ring studs on it - probably came off an M939A1 or A2. I think the FMTV wheels have 20 studs.I see what you mean now, different tread pattern! Someone is gonna pick em up though!
Thanks! An alternator/starter motor shop could probably service it for you if you don't want to dig into it yourself.
I just found the TM for the starter motor repair. I attached the PDF. I found this referenced in TM9-2320-386-24-1-2 General Support on PDF page 713.
