I'm no expert, but it doesn't strike me that the camo pattern matches the vintage of the truck. That's a real nice rig, though; good find.I'm still digging for the story on this M211 CDN with American stencil on it. If anyone has seen a camo pattern like this and might have info that it's military and not some after service, handy can of paint project, I'd appreciate the feedback.
I really like the camo colors, if it's not representative, this truck may soon be OD.

Man, that looks sweet! All there, and very straight looking. As for the American reg #'s, that's a mystery. The door number is Canadian, because my very first M135 had a 84 something on it, so that looks authentic, but maybe the reg number is not "real"? Does it match any numbers in the truck serial numbers on the frame or plate?I'm still digging for the story on this M211 CDN with American stencil on it. If anyone has seen a camo pattern like this and might have info that it's military and not some after service, handy can of paint project, I'd appreciate the feedback.
Does "Attach Stuck White Knight here" mean anything and does the number have any Historical significance?
Searching 413277815 only nets me sin.

Looks like some original Canadian decals on the hood and although I really like the camo colors, if it's not representative, this truck may soon be OD.

You know that's right where they belong: working; that's great. This is not my truck, but a friend of mine sent me the picture of this G749 fighting fires in the western part of the country right now. Neat to see them still in use!

Wow. That's SAYING something.I don't see a difference between the 217 gas version and 222 water version so maybe someone can shed some info on the trucks. I've never seen one, but I'd trade in my P-4 Oshkosh for it.
That is a VERY cool idea. How's the Collection to date?I'm trying to be a solid family guy and we're hunting for each one of the G749 family series and others with accessories like the flying kitchen, pole truck, and one with an aircraft spotter light etc. Have enough M135's, an M207 and the M211....
Just missing these.....and I'd trade an OSHKOSH for more G749 crack with much sadness...then joy.

Just a guess....they probably used different pump off systems. Fuel would be metered, did the military meter off loaded water?I don't see a difference between the 217 gas version and 222 water version so maybe someone can shed some info on the trucks. I've never seen one, but I'd trade in my P-4 Oshkosh for it.
