Hope the transfer case isn’t damaged…
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Yeah hopefully the damage was from a forklift not an actual impact. That's a LOT of force required to move the axle like that relative to the springs / frame.Hope the transfer case isn’t damaged…
I’ve been remaining quiet because I have not yet received the vehicle. I’m unable to comment on any of this damage, and it would be unfair for me to make statements in ignorance. You may absolutely be correct or not.Yeah hopefully the damage was from a forklift not an actual impact. That's a LOT of force required to move the axle like that relative to the springs / frame.
I can't even envision, mechanically, how that shock came to look like it does.
Build a gun truck!.
Yes Sir!
Gotta branch out...
The disease is pretty aggressive.
Next you will want a wrecker to haul your vehicles around.
Or maybe an armored vehicle.
.My vehicle transporter (Daniel who does awesome work in California) told me that the bent shock seems to be forklift damage. Same with the bent driveshaft.
I’m told the rig looks relatively new and unused.
I’m told tires hold air AND brakes were able to be disengaged with air pressure and did not need to be “caged”.
I’m told the rig pulled straight when loaded onto the trailer.
More details to follow when I receive her and inspect her.
Turn to Alcohol? Diesel engines run better on other stuff like Kerosene.Oh hell, this is how it begins… All giddy optimism untill it arrives in your driveway then the reality of “OMG, What Have I Done” sets in…
You do have a therapist on retainer right?
Don’t turn to Alcohol, that path leads to the dark side…![]()
