What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I traded it for an M931A2, does that count?

Any yards in the 4 corners area (NM, CO, AZ, UT)?

In Utah the only real parts guys are Boyce Equipment in Ogden.

HMMWV, A1 & A2 years? ( various axle shafts and components)

I have concluded that the delivery date on the data plates of ALL mil vehicles tends to only be useful when titling and registering. Otherwise they seem to be meaningless.

    Hemtt vs M923A2?

Boy, you never want to get a HEMTT stuck in the mud, a 5 ton is bad enough.

    Not exactly a M880...

USAF and Coast Guard wouldn't be green unless it was a tug.

    Gen 1

I had to have my GEN 1 rebuilt to solve the problem on my M1031.

    Show us your Military Trailers

I picked up a "New" M103A3 trailer from GP a couple weeks ago. The data plate was removed for some reason as was the same for the other two M103s that came up with mine. Darn nice trailer just need to figure out what to do with it or pass it on to someone who needs it.

    Repurposed HET

MtnSnow and I came across a second one on our trip to OKC. The rig is ridiculously huge and dwarfs everything around it. Here are pics.

New Member, New M105 Trailer, Lessons Learned

I pulled a loaded M105A3 with my F150 a few times, but my F150 is rated to pull 7700lbs and the A3 has surge brakes so that is a little different. My Ecoboost didn't care that the trailer was there.

New Member, New M105 Trailer, Lessons Learned

Welcome to the craziness. You may have been better of with an M1102 which is lighter, has surge brakes and about the same load capacity.

    Trailer for 5ton

The M1061 will hold a car but you will need to build some ramps and it is fairly high deck.

    m934a2 generator

The couple I have seen took out the connector and hardwired directly to the electrical panel in the van.

    Ghost lighting problem

I would get a known good used one and retest the lighting, if it works fine leave in the replacement and all is good. That is how I repaired the lights on an M998.

    Securing/Locking the Lunette

That lunette lock sure looks simple yet effective.

    m934a2 generator

I have seen a few guys mount MEP016s in the location of the cable reels. They a 3KW and seem to do the job and have a switch inside to select 3 phase or single phase in multiple voltages.

    Securing/Locking the Lunette

Your idea is good or you could just chain and lock it to a pole or pillar. I have seen lock systems for ball type hitches but not for the lunette(pintle loop) of a military type trailer.

    Ibis Tek Light Bar Install

I got pin out specs from IBIS TEK and I have seen the connectors for sale commercially online, cant remember where though. The switches can be standard lighted toggles as they are a control swict and don't carry the current for the lights. Still haven't done anything with my 2 24" bars yet.

    Repurposed HET

Kind of hard to produce anything when so many people would rather sit at home and get free money and stuff.

    Bmy 929 a2 lights

Of course the manufacturer will say there is nothing wrong, GM said that for years about their ignition tumblers, but I digress.
