Yep. The Doc is correct about the 1970 headlight doors having NO knock out for the electric horn, AND the gasser side panels being short on the front up by the hood. I have this EXACT set-up on my 1970 M35A2 other than the small circle being knocked out on the lower side of the nose on the...
Thank you, US6X4. I call them helmets as well, not sure why I called them headsets. I will post results from the road trip later on today, for anybody that is interested, hopefully, with some pictures.
Second the thinking about the M/C going out. Classic symptoms of failure- goes soft gradually while being held, then, firms up after a quick stroke or two, followed by creeping down again.
Question for you. Are the CVC headsets compatable with a VIC-1 set up, or do I need a different model? I can get the complete CVC headsets and cables from work.
I just looked them up, and, they are literally down the road from the farm, like maybe 10 miles down the road. ROAD TRIP tomorrow...
Yea!!! My computer has decided to let me post pictures again. Here are the 2 pictures from my trip back on Thursday to go see Clinto and folks. Sorry, no pictures of the trucks and other things sitting around the yard. This coming week begins the "fun" of doing the axle freshenings. NOT yea...
Made a trip up to go see Clinto and crew at the new location and get some badly needed parts for my Deuce yesterday. Nice people, nice place. And, my computer will NOT upload pictures to here anymore. Why, all of a sudden?
TGP, any reason for the "26SI and be done with it"? I am opening a new tab to look it up as I type this, btw.
ETA- Well, THAT is a definite next payday thing! $140 WITH a double sheave pulley, from Amazon? SOLD!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, TDP!
MudMArine- yep, you now own an M151 component. That should be the 60 amp version. I'll get the tag info at work next day that I am there. I am going to see Clinto and company tomorrow to pick up some badly needed parts for my truck.
Well, the bossman says that he doesn't have any A2 MUTT stuff, just 151 and 151A1 stuff, but, 1 of the alternators is a big body, with a double sheave pulley on it, where as the rest (so far in the crate) are single sheave/ no sheave and small diameter body. The big body one has a GM tag on it...
So, like a lot of folks, the alternator on my Deuce is toast, and, of course, the parts are pretty much dried up. I have access to the alternators from a bunch of M151 MUTTs, and I was wondering if (before I try this myself and maybe cook something) it is possible and feasible to use an...
I figured out that a NON "Camelbac" hydration carrier is a *perfect* fit over the stack of my Deuce to help keep rain and other stuff out. It is the older 6" square style, about 1 foot long. if anyone is interested in the rough size. I wrapped one of the MOLLE tails around the mirror leg, and...
I *finally* got my trucks' title transferred today. Boss man had it in his safe at the house. The "Dead Line Special" is officially MINE!!!!!!!!!! Next up, a (hopefully) visit to a little town in eastern Indiana to get some parts.............. @Clinto. Mind if I drive up to get my wheel...
LOL, m715mike. Agreed, thanks to TexAndy for getting this re-do thread rolling. Next up, converting the secondary and finals over to a more"field friendly" version......
