I'm 90% sure it not a head gasket leak from his first pictures and saying the rear block-off plates is were the fluid was leaking. All he has to do is remove the two bolts on each plate, clean off the old gasket(red RTV) and install new gaskets with a little RTV and let it sit overnight. That...

I thought I had a blown head gasket on my M1028, but turned out it was leaking coolant from that same little mounting plate. If I was you, I would pull that plate off, look at it real close. If all is good, I would re-gasket it and install it back on. Doing a head gasket is a "pain in the back"...

I started putting everything back together today. I had a new GM8 turbo on the self, so I went ahead and installed it. Just have to move the turbo-master over to the new turbo. I hope to be dropping the engine back in this coming weekend. forget...going to replace the rear main and front main...

Old block should be 3/8" NPT (Male Pipe Thread) "I think" and the newer blocks are 1/2" NPT. I would take your old fittings and hoses to a Hydraulic store and have them made up like I did on my Dually. Cost me around $75.00. Or buy the kit like I did on my two CUCV-II's...

Thanks....After I fill the Rad with water, I will fill the transmission with fluid and hook the drive shafts back up. I will see if it will move. I still have it up on the trailer for now. I was missing 10 fuse's, so now all the lights/radio works. I still need to see why the blower fan did not...

I still need some parts to mount the fuel tank(missing the filler pipe that mounts to the inside of the bed), so I made a small fuel tank out of a 5 qt oil jug. opened the bleeder screw on the fuel filter and primed until all the air was gone. see video.:jumpin...

I traveled light this year. Just took the CUCV-II Crew Cab. And yes it had nice cold AC. Avg speed was around 70 mph. I hope to be able to work on the LSSV next weekend.
