    Looking at buying a M923A2

I was going to paint my M925A2 matt black from camo but my oldest made me promise not to re-paint it. I asked him why and he told me I could hide better in the woods with the camo paint.........fair enough...lol Back to the point of the thread. I agree Kendelrio. I paid $18,000 for mine and...

    A2 Coolant sensor?

I have a sensor, it isn't very big. I was going to replace mine but figured out I had a bad thermostat and went with the old adage of "if it ain't broke.....don't fix it". I now have a spare if it goes bad. Kind of a pain to get to, you will have to drain the coolant and move the hose above...

Thoughts on Adding a Flat Top Sleeper Cab to an M900 Series Truck

I spend many nights sleeping in the truck while in the field. Let's be honest, when it comes to certain things.....I am cheap. Like hotel rooms for example. I am already dirty, smell like diesel fuel and I am just going to get dirty again the next day. Plus, I have to drive to the hotel...

My truck is an M925A2. I hear it rubs on the pittman arm on a hard left turn. I have capped and disconnected the CTIS so loosing it already happened a long time ago. I don't really take it off-road much except to go into a field or improved road to get the tractor where I need it. Nothing...

    M322 Tail Light Question

Awesome thank you. As always you are the MAN!

    M322 Tail Light Question

I had LED taillights on the M322 and they over time went out little by little so I swapped to standard tail lights. The lights worked fine for a while then I had no brake lights. Everything else would work. I installed 2 new tail lights on the trailer and now everything works except when you...

    M925A2 Delco Style Alternator

For extended idles (overnight) you have to run at high idle or you can wash the cylinder liners and get glazing. You can also get fuel dilution in the oil. High idle puts just enough load on the motor to increase cylinder pressure, more complete combustion, and raise engine temps slightly.

I have Goodyear 14.00R20's on it now. 60,000 plus miles on them and no complaints. Just getting low on tread. I can run them a while longer. I am having a hard time locating 2 HEMTT rims. I want them before I order the ATA3's

    M925A2 Running Cold

Well with warmer temps today, it idled up to 195 and lowered a bit going down the road down to 175ish. Light to light it ran at normal temps. I would say everything is fine, I guess it will just be time for the winterfront.

    M925A2 Running Cold

Not yet. I will in the morning once I pick up the skid steer with forestry head again. I will put it back under load and check everything once I get to the field.

    M925A2 Running Cold

New fan clutch. Not spinning until 195 degrees. Truck is under load pulling an M322 trailer and 15,000 lb skid steer with 3,000 lbs in the bed. Everything is working as it should. I am hoping it is just the cold.

    M925A2 Running Cold

That is what I was thinking. I know diesels don't put a lot of heat into the coolant, they are designed to be run hard under load, and just, in my opinion, the radiator seems huge for a little 8.3 liter. Is it the same rad for the NHC-250?

Will they handle 65 MPH with the truck and trailer loaded to 55,000-60,000 lbs? I know they are rated for 55 MPH but what will they actually do?

    M925A2 Running Cold

My truck was running hot due to a bad thermostat. I ordered the correct part and picked it up directly from Cummins, changed the water pump, flushed the radiator and motor, and have the proper coolant and additive package. I also replaced the shutterstat. Both the shutterstat and thermostat...
