Yeah, not real sure who’s calling what, what, or if I have any idea what pump adjustment does what. Maybe I’ll just turn everything 2 turns counterclockwise at the same time and see if it will start and run[emoji2957].
Maybe someone that knows what they’re doing will let me know if I’m guessing...
I’ve been trying to decide for a long time what order to do these performance mods in, in order to get the best data for each mod, especially ability to maintain speed, and EGT on long hard pulls.
Already have pyro, and boost gage installed.
Thinking in this order... governor springs...
It’s been painted almost 9hrs, all the goodies should be bolted back on, out in the sun for a proper photo shoot buy now! Seriously though, looks fantastic, and was worth the wait. You going camo, or leaving it green?
On the farm plates, firstly if your not filing a schedule F with your taxes, in most all cases your not legally eligible for farm plates. Also when you need your insurance to come to your rescue, they will say sorry we’ve been taking your premium payment all this time, but your SOL on your own...
Probably have to have someone turn some bigger bolts down for you. I may have some 3/4” bolts with 1-1/2” or more of shoulder I could send you if it comes down to that.
Looks like a typical factory, on road design. Where does it say "For off road use only"?
I would guess their risk, and liability disclaimer is just to protect them from us, due to they have no control over how we actually install, what we do, or build with their parts after they ship them.
Looking good David! Your probably going to want to X brace, or triangulate, at least the bottom arms in some way. You’ll be amazed at the pushing power of these trucks.
Also remember when caging brakes for unloading, or moving around the yard, you don’t have to fully cage all the brakes. Leave the shoes on one, or more wheels dragging the help control the truck on the down slope.
Whats the advantage of taking all six off at the same time? Also trying to remember if the arms are supposed to be installed with the suspension in the neutral position, as if the truck was sitting on level ground on it’s suspension?
I’ve never experienced hwy bounce with 14’s, unless your talking about the whole truck bounce when hitting bumps? Off road, hop while climbing or pulling is typical...
All good advice. Replacing the bushing in the picture is a must! Tires bouncing while going down the (smooth) road is not normal, and I’m not sure if replacing the bushings will fix that.
Also not sure if you need a head board or not? I do not have the one you need, however Gimpyrob, or Junkyardwarscrusher likely still have have some real nice NOS headboards that I believe are what you need for the non dropside bed.
