    Oil thin and drippy

Well, 3 months ago I replaced the filters (napa spin ons) and 22 qt of Rotella straight 40. I’m just assuming only 3 months and very very few miles would still be a thick oil. I don’t think it’s radiator as it’s not milky oil and radiator is beautiful toxic green. Again I can’t say the level is...

    Oil thin and drippy

Don’t mind my stupidly but I am confused. You are referring to my Straight 40 being improper? I have 0 issues getting new filters and oil... Would what was mentioned earlier, 15w40, be the correct? sorry when I hear lube oil I’m thinking gears (transmission, differential, transfer case.)

    Oil thin and drippy

I can’t say it’s “raising” in level it’s still at the full mark. Just figured it’s be lower.

    Oil thin and drippy

morning! great suggestion but yes it is bypassed. Previous owner had done that... A little sun question here but hope main question doesn’t lose focus.... does bypassing FDC make it NOT Multifuel anymore? And also if the fdc were rebuilt is it beneficial to reconnect it? Just a side question there.

    Oil thin and drippy

Hello. Yeah I mean it could very well be that. I just find it odd how thin it is just 3 months later (maybe 50 miles on new oil). I will look into that of which you mentioned I suppose that’s the legit answer as it’ll tell me what is in the Oil. Another thing I noticed is like.. knocking when...

    Oil thin and drippy

Hello So 3 months ago I noticed low oil pressure and oil was really thin. I can say for sure it is not mixing with Radiator but am only somewhat certain not mixing with fuel. I say this cause I don’t smell any fuel but that really isn’t an indicator. So 3 months ago I changed it and it was...

    Air compressor leaking oil

Hello. Just wanted to mention, after some time, that I replaced the bottom seal and put everything back together and no more leaks, from there. What I do notice is that there is still oil spraying on the IP and after further inspection it seems that the bolt on the (facing the Air Compressor...

M35A2 goes "clunk clunk clunk" in Reverse

Well I will humbly say that I have not heard of either of those words, reunion or dogbone, but I am hoping/assuming/praying they are in the manual.

M35A2 goes "clunk clunk clunk" in Reverse

I will do that tonight when I get home. Thank you... I’ll let you know.

M35A2 goes "clunk clunk clunk" in Reverse

Well it seems to have done it again. To start off, I replaced Front/Rear Differentials, Transfer Case and Transmission all with new 80/90 Gear Oil. I greased every fitting including Emergency Brake and everything in between. The “mustache” spring is secure and fine. Emergency brake pad and area...

M35A2 goes "clunk clunk clunk" in Reverse

In all honesty I’ve not done much with the truck since this initial discussion as I’ve been busy. I did replace the trans and transfer case fluid to 80/90 and it still did the clunk. I then verified all “shafts” were tight and nothing wobbly or loose bolts. What I did then was grease each...

M35A2 goes "clunk clunk clunk" in Reverse

So with that being said as well as others saying and agreeing to the same, what exactly should I look into as far as which part of the parking brake would be doing this?

M35A2 goes "clunk clunk clunk" in Reverse

I assume you mean the short shaft from transmission to transfer case? I have... I wiggled it and really didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. It clunks a little but nothing that made me 2nd guess. Unless it’s supposed to be absolutely tight... And that little clunky wiggle is magnified...

M35A2 goes "clunk clunk clunk" in Reverse

That is precisely what it does. It goes into reverse fine but when I actually try to back up it clunks/skips.

M35A2 goes "clunk clunk clunk" in Reverse

Ive not looked into that to be honest... And yes it is indeed only in reverse.

M35A2 goes "clunk clunk clunk" in Reverse

Hello So the Deuce is a '72 with 11,000 Miles on it so not a lot of wear and tear. Not too far off it was all taken apart and put back together and well maintained. I drive it once a week and usually not too far but it warms up enough and when I get home it goes into reverse just fine. This...

    M35A2 Air Compressor Bottom Seal

Hello I was reading in the TM that the radiator had to be removed in order to get the AC out... Is it possible to just remove the grill and loosen top bolt on both bottom bolts and angle it back? My bottom seal is leaking and didn’t wanna do it just yet if whole Radiator needed to get taken...

How high to jack a Deuce

Well I am not sure what constitutes “heavy duty” but so did get my 20 Ton Bottle and 2 x 6 Ton Jack Stands from Tractor Supply. I also plan on putting some nice 6x6 or what not under both jack stand and bottle jack. I am also going to raise it maybe an inch off ground as well. Going to do one...

How high to jack a Deuce

Thank you for the help. I will say that I am using a 20 Ton Bottle Jack which I will be placing off center from middle axle housing (towards the specific side I am doing at the time) with enough room for a jack stand closer to the wheel. I am using 6 ton stand for that. I will be doing this...
