Sounds like a bad injector(injector is dumping to much fuel) I've had the same thing happen to me. Replaced all the injectors with new ones and it fixed the problem.
The tires are 1400R x 20, The top speed is around 68 now ( I did have it at 72 mph by the GPS, but that was when I first picked it up. I think the fuel filter picked up some junk from the fuel tank)
The wife wants me to sell it, but I think I'll just have to get a new wife...lol
When I tore down my 6.5L in the CUCV-II, I found the shaft had snapped also. Only 16,000 miles on the engine.
I would get a new HD pump also. No damage to the engine with the lost of oil???
