I rebuilt my shutterstat and now my fan comes on at around 160. Does anyone have a rough idea of how many degrees you gain per turn/thread and what direction I need to go with the probe?
If not I'll get out my hot pad and pot of water and start playing then report back.
I think maybe...
Camo frame was special order. Front/middle thats the difference between Indiana and Michigan... Yeh, my buddy Cletus didn’t believe that you could run a scissor lift on a 939 without crashing, so I had to do a photo shoot...
Good to see your still “ poking” along...
More reason to avoid the interstates! Also a lot of the 75mph roads have recently been bumped up to 80. Good thing was, I was averaging 83-85 and not many people passed me, swear I saw some 85mph signs somewhere, Idaho maybe???
I would guess he used his tape measure to check for bending or racking mainly due to the severity of the impact. Just as long as the heat didn’t get to the bottom flange of the main beams fore of the axles, it will be fine for his peace of mind.
Would be easy enough to lower, but better be stout if your going to use them on a wrecker! I’m thinking their bump-stops maybe setup different with that beam in their suspension? This is the front axle of my empty m925 with the back axle hanging just off the ground.

Sounds like you have a plan! I would see if you can get a complete set of tires and wheels (likely not much more than just tires) and either put them on, and throw your old ones in the back for spares, or throw the new ones in the back, if you feel comfortable changing them on the side of the...
Dang, was just through your area last week, and always love to play! Maybe could have put the trailer on my pickup and tied your 5 ton to the rear for an anchor?
Dont get caught up in the newer is better thought, when looking for a date to title with. Usually older is better for license plates and insurance. Follow 98G age range, he knows his stuff, and you wont automatically void you insurance coverage if something bad where to happen.
Hey toby if my $.02 is worth anything to you, I would bet the 1820 LB weight quoted several time is close. My M939 14’ drop side bed with no seats, bows and the mudflaps, mudflap hangers and side marker lights removed, weighed right at 2000 LB. Unfortunately I cant find my picture of it hanging...
You might want to get a few more to hide some miscellaneous parts piles...
Roughly how much does it weigh, I’m wondering how much easier it is to handle than the cargo cover?
