    Blown Head Gasket

The valve lash had nothing to do with the blown head gasket. Any number of reasons could have been the cause. Warped head, weak gasket, overheating problem, wrong torque and so on. Use a good quality head gasket, get the heads resurfaced, correct torque and change your t-stat. Check the deck for...

Thinking of getting the Jatonka Oil Filter Adapters

I live in Yankee land and I can assure you that there are no preheating problems with oil in the pan with these filters. With any cold weather situation, you MUST warm up your vehicle before driving off unless you have a block heater and even then a 5 or 10 minute warm up is required for any...

Prepping Deuce for Winter Emergency Search/Rescue Assistance...NO JOKE

Is the snow or ice any different now than it was 40 or so years ago when our trucks were new? Chains got the military where they wanted to go then , so what is different now except for ridiculously priced modern tires. I would stick with the chains and NDT's.

Hiw high is your oil Preasure

Rule of thumb is 10 lbs of oil pressure to every 1000 rpms. So 30 psi and over your good to go.

    3 push start

The in-tank pump is there for a reason! It is a lift and push pump. It's job is to keep the fuel line energized. The injector pumps were not designed to pull fuel although they will. My deuce had the same symtoms as yours and I found the in-tank pump not working. It was running but not pumping...

    High Range problem, HELP

If someone told you the pressures are the same in low and high range, they are mistaken! Just because it has low range , it does not mean the pressures are ok in high range. Trust me when I tell you I went back and forth with this same problem. I checked the pressures and it led me to a bad...

    High Range problem, HELP

If you want to diagnose this trans problem, you MUST check the oil pressures in high and low range. That will lead you in the right direction. When my trans had problems, I went on e-bay and bought one for 40.00. You also need to get the trans manual that I mentioned in my last post on this...

bored today... took some pix and videos of the deuce

Your fuel lines are moving around with the vibration of the engine. It would not be a bad idea to secure them or shield the ones that come in contact with other objects. The vibration after time will rub right through and create a leak. I have seen this happen many times with fuel lines, air...

Ok so my m37 318 is running bad it will run fine then it will chug until its ded

The reason the fuel filter was getting dry is as the motor was being flooded, the RPM was dropping and the pump was not pumping enough to keep up with what the carb was dumping in. If you suspect a flooding carb, just look down the throat of the carb and you can see fuel dumping in. You should...

Question about the brakes on my deuce

You can crack the line coming out of the master cylinder. If it frees the brakes, the master is bad. If that does not do it then I would jack up the truck to see which wheel or wheels are stuck providing the e-brake is not the problem.

    Rustolem Paint Job

I use Krylon. It works great also. I even carry one can of each color in my truck for touchup.
