    T Maybe I'm just getting senile but I don't remember there being a slinger, mine had a tiny nozzle that sprayed oil from the main oil galley onto the gears???

    To ad to T's post after installing the new seal and you go to remount the timing cover leave the timing cover bolts loose until after you reinstall the crankshaft pulley hub, this way the seal will align (center) itself better on the shaft, ( just don't forget to tightin cover bolts after your done)

    Finally wired up my 24v accessory plug ( ran it to a seperate thermal breaker ).

    Had a very very slight miss and puff of smoke at idle so I put new injector in #1 cyl than went down the line putting replaced injector in next cyl ( put old #1 injector into #2 cyl etc etc ) and found problem in #5 injector, runs better now.

    They make 4:89 gearing for the the 37's ($$$) and that will give you the 5-7 mph your looking for but make sure you reread what rosco stated.

    Thinning RAPCO paint...

    Gillespie recommends either mineral spirits Naptha or Xylene and as Kenny stated if its hot out and your painting outside you may want to use Mineral spirits as it will dry slower than the other 2 solvents giving the paint a better chance to flow out. I myself use Naptha or if I'm using...

    Did you use champhered washers when installing the new manifold?

    Surface cracks are the norm for flywheels, take it to the machine shop and get their opinion on if getting it resurfaced it will take them out.
