    Ld465-1 turbo???

I have a LD-465-1 motor in my deuce, I LOVE IT!!!!!!! Personally unless you just want the sound of a turbo I would leave it as it is. My deuce smokes worse than a locomotive but I enjoy having the smoke when people tailgate me....[thumbzup]

    Check for loose bolts!!!

I can add to the driveshaft story. Today I was driving to my brothers shop in the deuce when I heard a loud "bang" on the floor board. I was only about a mile from my destination so I kept going while watching gauges, and "feeling" her as I drove. When I got there I did a walk around and...

    m35a2 deuce not running

They are selling perfectly good parts because they are surplus items. The government dosent need them anymore. As far as GL goes "most" of the trucks just need a set of batteries and some fuel, but please do a search here on SS and read up on recoveries.

    Lucas oil additive

As far as adding a whole gallon to the oil, I went on the opinion of a very experenced diesel mechanic when I added that much. I have been VERY impressed with the results. The truck is using less oil and is much easier to start when cold ( it doesent sound like a threw a box of nails in the...

    Lucas oil additive

:ditto: I use Lucas in the engine oil. I can say that it has helped ALOT during start up and it has cut down on the clatter during cold starts. I have also noticed that I build oil preassure much faster during startups. I use a full gallon in each oil change.

    Stopped by the NCSHP

I also found out that here in NC we MUST apply for a NC fuel decal to run out trucks within the state. If you plan on running your truck out of NC then you must either... 1. purchase a 3 day fuel decal for $50.00 at any weight station....or 2. purchase a IFTA fuel decal This is simply...
