Well mine is a daily driver I log about 3k miles a month, maybe it comes down to usage...but my resistor failed as well as the starter relay as well as the gp relay as well as the gp card
I did the relay mod...installed the new starter and I'd did the same crap as the other one....then I spent the 18$ and got the retrofit relay and 5 minutes later I'm back in buisness....on a better note, the hardware on the new starter looks much better than the last one they gave me
Would it be accurate in thinking I can just ditch the starter relay and replace it with a button instead? If so, this would lead me to believe I would never suffer from starter run on
Evidently the starter relay prongs were dirty enough to cause a 2 time try to get the truck to start...i had to let it run for my entire work shift and I'll be ****ed if it didn't leak a drop of trans fluid....i dunno...i didn't put anything in it besides what came out ...so water leak fixed...
After changing the gasket and it sitting over night I went for my morning coffee, when at the gas station I re checked for the leak, I'll be a mofo if it wasn't still leaking....i was able to see the grommet and it appeared to be ok ....the modulator looked a little wet but I suspect that it is...
They didn't have the part at the store...i ended up just changing the gasket out but I'll see if I can order it online...oddly enough the gasket has a 1 year warranty
It leaks from the other side of the pan....i can actually see it coming from the gasket....but it pissed me off that it never did it until I fix three other things lol
My truck has been leaking water I noticed that the stud that the power steering bracket bolts to was loose the other day so I removed it tighten the stud down and replace everything, the seemed to fix my water leak.
Initially when I try to start it the starter would not crank the first try it...
Installed the bolt that was missing from the p.s. pump to the water pump and moved around the starter support bracket...tightened the alternator belts a little...gett8ng ready to start work for the night and see if the noise is still there.
