Be careful dumping diesel in the intake, to much, and you could do some damage.
Sounds like the IP has gone south. Have you cranked the engine with an injector line cracked?

Only got the motor. . .
But, this motor, if good, is going in my 1028A3, and I'm going to add a drain plug to the pan on the tranny when I change out the filter.
Tag indicates it's a 90 model year motor, but it's been apart, as evidenced by the use of RTV, EVERYWHERE, there is a gasket. . ...
Also found this interesting info about that casting number over at DP:
"That block is the most prone to cracking at the mains. You might want to pull the pan and check."
