    1400-20 rims and tires

My M813 has 1400r20s with beadlocks. I had an o ring leaking on 1. I just took half of the wheel off, cleaned everything, and installed a new O ring from Memphis. Left the beadlock in place. Not hard, just heavy.

newbe with ??? on buying a Deuce

I hear there is new legislation pending, saying that if you can't spell "Deuce", you can't own one. And good luck trying to license a "duce":D. Seriously, be patient. Look at other member's trucks. There is a lot to learn.

    Duda diesel bag fillters

I guess they can be washed, especially the higher micron ones, but I don't bother. They are really cheap. The oil I usually get is from propane forklifts and it's pretty clean. I can run about 400 gallons through the 25 micron and 300 through the 1 micron. With dirtier oil it might be worth the...

    Duda diesel bag fillters

I use them. I usually start with a 25 micron then follow up with a 1 micron. I use a pump or air pressure to push oil through filters. I don't heat the oil or dilute it first. And I have no idea why my computer has started typing in italics!

Melted Battery Terminal, any Options?...And new Seat Covers

In our shop in Vietnam, we had a set of molds for restoring battery posts that had melted. It would be easy enough to make your own. Get some scrap 1" steel and drill it slightly larger than the diameter of the posts. Cut it in half with a bandsaw, across the center of the hole. Clamp the two...

    Too much smoke????

My non-turbo Deuce doesn't smoke nearly as much lately as my turbo Deuce. Both burning 100 percent filtered WMO in the summer. But then again I've noticed a drop in power & speed in the non-turbo truck. Probably time to change fuel filters:-P

    Engine stalling @ idel

Look up Bill W's "Another spin on primary filter" thread. I've used his idea on 2 Deuces and am very happy with it.

I've done exactly as you describe, with about a 50 percent success rate. And for several years I've used common "civilian" batteries with no problems.

Can PTO cause Transmission to STOP shifting?

When I was installing mine, I called George at White Owl. Here's what he advised, and it worked for me. I'll add that George is a very helpful guy when I have questions, and he gets the parts out fast. "Eric, "in my opinion" the adjustment of mounting the PTO is not as critical as some say. It...

I can provide power steering CHEAP & RELIABLE

Ok, I guess I missed it too. Put me back on the "interested" list for the power assist setup.

I can provide power steering CHEAP & RELIABLE

Well, if it's a full hydro system, I'm not interested. Might be okay for off road use I guess. My Case tractor has hydro steering, and when a hose broke quit at about 20 mph things got hairy.

    Major Rear Axle Leak

Okay, regarding spindle nut socket: I forgot that the spindle nut is octagonal, & yes has 8 "points". But that is properly referred to as an "octagonal" socket. Sockets properly called 8 point, are for square nuts.
