in the end it tends to be cheaper...
the only 'fab' work i had to do in my 08 to swap in the nv4500 was to cut the hole for the shifter, adjust the linkage for the t-case shifter and wire in the sender for the reverse lights
i used the hyd pedals and master from an 89' ( same body style as the cucv)
got some line adapters +...

before i owned a trailer and had to borrow one i bought my own chains + binders so as to insure i would always have enough.

you may want to double check what shape the frame/spring mounts etc are in after all the damaged bits are removed and before you spend a wad of cash on parts2cents
the orignal nose cone on the cucv starter is for an automatic application. if you do some looking around you should be able to find a nose cone from a standard shift application. (i got a new one off ebay) that should clear just fine2cents:beer:
