finally put that gooseneck hitch to good use. 1st 2 pics were the day after getting home from our local old fashioned farm festival. last pic is roughly 2300-2500 lbs of weight for the pulling tractor i bought in july. im thinking the trailer may need to be painted to match the truck.
it is not critical to use the earlier version at all. i have a nv4500 out of a 04 2500hd in my m1008. with a few adapters and a new line even managed to make the master cylinder work with the 04' hydraulic throwout bearing . the later nv's tend to command a higher price because their inputs...
did much the same swap only i used the later version nv4500 with the internal slave cyl. pegasus racing had the adapters for the clutch line so i could use a universal an flexible brake line.
the problem with your starter is that you have the nose cone for a auto, just swap it for the stick...
 not sure on fair-market value. personally i do not have the extra cash or space so i cant back up any "its worth X " comments.;)(ditto on the no resto idea, its only original condition once)
this is exactly the type of use i have in mind for a deuce WHEN i get one:grin:
seems a goose-neck trailer of similar capacity is comparable in price and not nearly as fun:mrgreen:
i don't have a big enough truck to tow a deuce but i do have a medium tow-bar if you need to tow it back and can find someone else with a sufficient truck:beer:

not sure what they would have but they have advertised as having army trucks + parts before. north of batavia on 98
nv4500 in a stock o8 = 18mpg, 454= 8mpg maybe? in my opinion the 6.2 is fine as long as you are not towing/ hauling much2cents. p-pumped 5.9/nv4500 + 3.73s would be just about perfect:drool:
