I am debating changing out my running Detroit Deisel 353 for a Cummings 4BT 4 cylinder turbo charged. Im thinking about using an industrial 24V set-up remanufactured from Cummins. Has anyone ever used this motor in your Military Vehicle and if so what do you think about the transition.
i also think that any codes they may pull against you will be for a commercial vehicle. Read the codes and zoning requirements then polietly tell them this is a free country and get lost. Sounds like you have over-zealous neighbors that like deciding what people can do on private property...
RE: Re: My first Deuce...
i got my MV titled in tennessee with a bill of sale only. Check with the DMV website because the local office usually doesnt have a clue. Insurance is not as bad as you might think mines through State Farm but Gulfway Insurance is a great company with good rates.
seems a little pricey...... your son does realize that he'll be waving as school buses pass him. watch the ebay ads or order one from the classified ads here. 4000 is way too much for that vehicle in that condition.
if you go to the hot rodding and modifications thread and type in power steering you will find out. I cant remember the company offhand..... sorry
