    How to get it home?

I went through all off the above when I went to retreve my 5 ton. I had a list of every major trucking company and towing concern from NJ to SC. I also had appox. 90 days from the end of bidding to EUC clearing to plan. With EUC's getting down to the 20-30 day period, you need to get on the...

    good thread deleted

We all have to be a little off our rockers to play with MV's. And then there's ferro and I- we like MV's and trains! So we are beyond help.

    Firing my 155mm

Man! That would be awesome to pull the lanyard on that puppy at the Ga Rally. You think Union Point would get upset if we dropped a round downtown?

    What happened to Reverse

Kenny, could you have gotten the syncros for reverse hung up? Sometimes , if you do it right, it feels like you are hitting a brick wall.

    2011 Haspin BS/T-shirt thread.

If you would keep the 818 out of the trees, you wouldn't have to worry about ripping the top! :mrgreen:ß

    Smokey Alert in Maitland FL

Since I have started driving the 814 around town, all the LEO's I have seen have either waved, or given me the thumbs up, even when I was in my UPS browns. I may never get stopped in this town.

What do you stow under the Driver's seat?

I normally just keep myself in the cab. Everything else goes in the tool boxes.

    M813 pros and cons

As long as you understand that you have a power band the size of a hair, and that you will never go fast(>50mph) An 813 will take you to the moon and back at 5 MPG.

    M1008 saves the day

Mine thinks she wants an M37. I won't let her drive the 814- I am afraid I will lose the M814 to her. :driver:

WTK Drawbar Strength of M543A3 Wrecker

WD40 the tracks before breaking it loose. Your biggest problem will be traction between the tires of the wrecker and the ground. Go slow, and if she digs in, stop, and find more traction. I don't know what kind of surfaces you will be on. If we knew that, I am sure somebody can recommend an...

    Road trip to Alaska

Well, maybe semi serious. I would like to wait and see what the road to deadhorse is like when I go up there in August. Plus it would take 5 weeks just to get the 814 there and back at 50 MPH, plus the 2000 odd gallons of fuel it would take.

I got the M814 home. Now what?

It has been a little while since I have updated this thread. The 814 is now roadworthy. The oil leak has stopped, the cooling system has all new rubber hoses, and the system itself is been flushed, and new antifreeze added. The latest thing was getting the 814 tags. I had been putting it off...
