I lost quite a bit of the low end when going to 395's. I am not sure that I would buy another set that large. Yes it looks great but the performance loss was not worth the looks in my opinion. I would never go larger than these and expect it to work well off road.
I have never seen anything stock but you could fab up what ever you want easily enough. Make sure that you tie into the frame and not just the part you want to protect. We made many skid plates for custom 4X4's over the years and they worked well.
Good luck!
The trailers in all of the pictures are M105's. The S-250 will not fit into a M101a1 or a2. I think that it may go into a3 because the wheel wheels are different. Mine sits in a M105 and it really works nice as a weekend camper. Put a small window A/C in it and you will be able to sleep well...
Mack ran tests a few years ago on compressed natural gas powered garbage trucks. They had quite a few out in the field testing them and they did work. They never released it out to the public as it was hard to find a CNG fueling station. I know we are discussing propane but the idea is the...
A relay will allow more current to flow than the switch that operates it will hold. The switch only controls the coil that pulls the relay closed to make contact. The load of the lights goes through the much larger contacts in the relay. The lights can then be run through a fuse direct to the...
I had a 1950 LF a long time ago. It looked almost the same as a LJ. I believe that the major difference was the LF was a gasser. What are you going to do with the old girl? Always nice to see another old Mack being saved!

Bob,
You may have to call an exporter as export of most surplus is regulated and can not be sold to anyone who is not an American citizen. Most everyone here would not be willing to break any laws. The parts needed can be purchased at TNJ Murray and I believe that the are licensed to export...
I will try and make it out there again. It will be the same as this weekend, as the home chores get done, I will head out. Hopefully earlier than last week! I found a guy for cooking wood between my house and the rally. I will stop and see how much he is asking for a load.

I looked at both and decided on the Pinz due to parts availability. Parts for a Volvo are really hard to find and just as expensive as Pinz parts (if not more). Either way you are in for a great truck. Good luck!

I was just on GL to take a look at what is coming up and every listing says that it is in AZ. I know they are based out of there but did they start to move all auctions there as well or is there a problem with the way they entered it on their end?

Just in shear numbers the A2 would be an easier vehicle to come up with. The A2 has a multi-fuel where the A3 does not. An A3 has a new Cat motor that will cost big bucks to repair compaired to an A2. There simply are more of them and parts are cheap. But the choice is up to you and what you...
Welcome to the site and nice install. I have all ready shortened my heater box and was trying to figure out how I wanted to install it. How much did the heater location effect foot / leg room? Are you planning to plumb in the defrosters or just let it blow out the vent as is?
