Well, I'm out of ideas..
Continuing from last week:
Found out after my parade, the transmission shifted rough and very late, the fluid was low, so I filled up.
Today, I went for a testdrive in town, did a few miles, also a lot of reversing action, checked the transmission fluid: A little above...
I drove around, to blow out the carbon built op in the parade.
Did notice rough and late gearshifts.. After coming home checked the oil and needed to add about 1 pint of ATF...
After refilling I did not test again, as I had other things to do.. Might check later the coming week if the shifting...
My "wait" light was flashing at random intervals when driving/braking/hitting bumps.
Couldn't find the culprit, as I chased the wires, cleaned glowcard and terminals...
I did find a loose ground wire on the firewall, but can't seen to find where it used to be.. Probably on the engine..
Also...
Powerwashed the M1028 on my parents driveway a few days ago, half a cubic yard came from under the truck
After getting home I started to free the Hella lights I had lying around, from their lightbar.
Some job, as there was a lot of cable and rotten bolts.
Then I went to see where to...
A cruise control would be nice indeed.
I don't think the LEO's overhere wille be amused by a redneck solution for cruise control, so please a proper push-the-button-to-engage one :recovry4x4:
Fixed the issue with my passenger window today.
Removed the plastic protection and used some pliers to bend the rods inside.
Then i took the right 2 bolt of the mechanism out, put a washer in between and put them back on.
The window now rolls freely up and down with no effort at all. Me =...
Today, I ran in another issue.. The passenger side window won't roll up the last few inches, unless I help it up.
What to do? The rollers are in the slots, the channels are clean, everything greased and still no luck..
Last weekend decided to tackle the "Why does the european trailer plug not work" issue.
Since I did not have a soldier B at hand, i used a set of trailer lights to test all the stuff.
It seemed a pretty easy grounding issue, but it wasn't...
So I needed the plug to come of.. Bolts rusted...
You play it on your cell Phone. You become an agent for 1 of 2 sides, enlightened (green) or Resistance (blue)
By capturing portals, destroying and overtaking enemy portals, you can try to let your faction rule the world.. Something like that.
Google is your friend in this. For me it is a way...
Went driving after my Dangerous goods transport exam.
I play a game called Ingress (vive la resistance). The rattle of the big V8 scared the enemy in a Skoda away.
Ingress is a type of real-time capture the flag/geocaching game, played via google on every OS.
Did not buy the car, some things to worry about, like loose rubbers where the windows meet at the passenger side.
Have some concerns, because I can't put it inside or under a cover. and some work needed to make it a comfortable cruiser.
Axle joints need replacing, exhaust modified, stuff like...
Again, did absolutely nothing, but run around town for a bit.
Oh, and to add a little drift, I did take the M1028 to view a 1972 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale.
I did get a compliment from the sales-person about the nice looking truck.
Looked good in the pictures, bad in real life. left it standing as the owner wasn't home and got a weird vibe from the car..
1965 fleetwood by the way.
Went for a drive with a buddy in the rain.
Just some driving, fill up with cheaper diesel in Belgium and a viewing day for an auction.
We also went to view a '65 Cadillac, for myself, to cruise around in, but had a bad feeling about it, so left it where it was.
On the way back did a couple of...
Mine does that now and then. Just hit a bump and it starts squealing...
Have the plan to take it off the truck and look if I can fix this, not replace it.
Well, last saturday, I had some issues with the M1028.
It was still dark out and I wanted to take it to some friends where I had to work for a day.
Ignition on, waiting for the WAIT light going out, so far, no problems.
Then turning the key to "START", 1 revolution, and nothing but rattling...
Went for a spin with a buddy, we rolled the windows down for mirror adjustment.
So far, so good.
We rolled them back up, mine went up perfect, the passenger window tilted slightly back and would not go up all the way without some manual assistance.
What can I do to fix this? For the funny...
