A little birdie once told me a LOT of L-P stuff was produced outside of the UK (possibly even the raw castings for the LP Alpha blocks in China...). I cannot confirm either way, but it was someone who would have good authority on the subject. I know a lot of their parts for their older lines...

Its not ideal, but if you needed to you could also just have a line fabbed up to bypass the separator temporarily in the face of a hurricane. A parts store should be able to make one for you.

You really should replace them both at the same time, with identical units (at the same time, not necessarily what was there before). Just a matched pair.
