    Choosing a Generator

I think thats exactly whats going on here. Still not right to use an industry-accepted term to mean one thing, but not be its actual definition.

    803a fuel level sender

Yeah gauges are one good way to get a better understanding of how to chew through the wiring diagram to double check connections.

New 802a's.... Few Qs. Advise on load test? Anyone with equipment in central NC?

Operator shenanigans... most likely why the unit got DRMO'd out. More and more small things causing more equipment to be pushed out without any further diagnosis.

    Choosing a Generator

Based on how Kubota words that equipment, it is NOT prime power rated. They got some marketing dink to put it in there, and see if they get called out on it. Thats disingenuous at best.

    Choosing a Generator

Light towers are typically brushed genheads, and aren't going to give you the clean power you are expecting... low tech for low tech application (lights). Your Generac is a 27KW unit, and your backup is under 9KW.... thats a pretty big spread. Have you determined how much power you need for...

    803A droop adjust screw?

The droop adjustment, in my opinion, isn't in play in this problem right now. Can you take a photo of the rotating plate on your engine, which the frequency adjustment cable ties to? Can you visually see this part rotate, when you move the star wheel up front back and forth... or does it stay...

New 802a's.... Few Qs. Advise on load test? Anyone with equipment in central NC?

The relays are commonly available through places like Arrow, Newark, etc. The -24P on the machine is invaluable in determining part numbers, which can be crossed to commercially available items. I believe at one point @kloppk had at least one of the styles in stock. The emergency stop switch is...

    Screwdriver in ring gear? Mep803

The crank bolt is also a LH thread.

    Screwdriver in ring gear? Mep803

The fan is absolutely metal... and the threading is LEFT HAND/REVERSE on the water pump.

    Missing handle on a M116A3? (PU-797 recovery)

Also this may work, with a socket wrench: https://www.rvupgradestore.com/Socket-Jenie-For-Atwood-Truck-Camper-Jacks-p/lvsg-501.htm

    Missing handle on a M116A3? (PU-797 recovery)

Per an E-trailer post, this will work: https://www.etrailer.com/p-LG-119226.html The business end is an equivalent to the out of stock item, just much longer at approx 30".

MEP-006A not making more then 50 volts

If its the VR, reach out to SS member @Suprman . He has this item in stock (and can be seen on ebay, but I am sure he would prefer you just reach out direct).

Site contact info for Southampton, NJ?

Anyone have a name and a number? Need to pull a trailered item out, and I can't stand dealing with the idiots on the Gov Planet customer support line. Thanks

    MEP-803A

If BOTH batteries voltage is taking a dive upon start, you need to replace them both. The one that is showing the 12-13V when sitting idle may have only a surface charge, but no amperage upon use. Battery quality has not improved since covid...

    MEP-1040 Owners

I mean their smallest engines are older Onan designs, now produced by Kukje Machinery over in Korea (under license, and used by tons of OEM tractor builders including Branson and others... also what is found in many Onan diesel gensets these days).
  16. Light in the Dark

    MEP-1040 Owners

Cummins manufactures the machine. The engine specified for the MEP-1040 is manufactured by Yanmar. The engine in the 1030 is a Kubota. The manufacturer of the machine need not be the same as the engine, if there are better platforms out there. Cummins doesn't have much in the way of small...

    802 a fuel pump

Glad I had all the parts here for you to drop it right in.

    MEP-8xx wet stack info

GIve it time to work up to full load. Put a whole can of seafoam into the tank with your fuel, and step the loads up in whatever increments you can.

    Valence's 1990 Turtle Mountain M116A2 Power Plant AN/MJQ-33

I have some in stock. They are not the OEM unit (from another MEP) but they actually work well in this platform. Its just that the hole size is a little off (you will need to drill a couple new holes). $15/ea plus freight if you are interested. Just direct message me if so.
