I've been working under a car on jack stands, and while i try to leave a jack under it in addition to the jack stands that's not possible in this case. I will be putting some wood blocking under it before returning to work.
I had opened this thread and opened some of the pictures in other tabs. I went to look at them later and was like hey...that looks a lot like an oregon plate. Sure enough. I'm just a town over, and would love to help wrench on a truck if you ever need an extra hand.
Hitch looks good, but...
Regarding the compressor mounting situation, the hydraulic direct drive unit looks neat. Probably a lot of money and not really practical unless you already have a large compatible hydraulic system for another reason.

That trailer sounds like it could easily be handled by a one ton civvy pickup truck. it would do 70 and you could carry on a conversation too.
This idea has been discussed before. These trucks are not meant as long haul OTR trucks but can be used as such provided you don't mind taking your time...
I was gonna say, you make mounting a compressor and running AC lines seem awfully simple compared to mounting an evap unit and running some ducts.
To each there own. I don't have a deuce, and i certainly wouldn't have 2k to spend on AC if i did.
There was a great thread on all of this not to long ago. Someone broke down the BTU ratings and what would be required to keep a cab cool even in the hottest part of the country.
That thread was pages of info, i would suggest starting there.
Besides, with most trucks selling off GL for...
This. Or they make those air drying devices for rooms and basements. I used one of those in a car i was storing outside for a year plus and it was amazing the amount of water it pulled out of the air
Yea, that would be very neat indeed to see a rack being pulled from one to the other.
Would you be interested in providing a collection of pictures, possibly in a .RAR or something along those lines?
Not everyday you see photos of m1075's and prototype PLS trucks...
You still would have to find one even if money wasn't a concern. Its a prototype deal IIRC.
Thanks for the vids M1075. What happened to a website? I've searched old threads of yours and looks like there were plenty of interesting pictures there.
I was told when i added a car to my policy they would do a credit report and use that to compute my premium. Now I'm young and have made some stupid decisions related to my credit but what a crazy idea. I always pay my insurance on time, I've been insured with the same company since i start...
Sorry for more pestering but after looking at your truck i always have questions. Whats with the cage like things surrounding the hubs on the front two axles? I see they are only on the front.
How many guys on here have the full CDL stuff? I seem to read about a lot of heavy moving (granted not 90k gross) and i just assumed it was all personal.
I did some reading on the CDL thing in Oregon and it seems like once you get into all that DOT business you have a lot of paperwork to worry...
Can I ask a possibly dumb question?
Whats the purpose of the little rounded triangle blocks with holes through them on what looks to be the center of the wheel? Both the photo and your truck have them.
Those mudflap hangers looks great, real pro looking.
