I've read on here about the hydraulic powered brake systems and i think one of those factory systems (hydroboost?) actually has a backup system powered by an electric hydraulic pump. Granted this doesnt get past the hoses bursting (in my mind the most likely failure point) but obviously the OEM...
I'm in the portland metro area but don't currently own a truck so i can't be of much help. Just figured i would say hi and let you know there's others out there.

Well, at least with the grocery and autozone examples, neither supplier would be likely to sell to you (they want wholesale accounts).
However with AMG there is likely many companies that sell to them and also sell to the public and other businesses. Whether any of those companies are the ones...
I would be surprised if they give you a list of vendors, but you never know. The vendors themselves will most likely do business with you.
Would the speedo/ tach cables be something off the shelf that a place that does that sorta thing could make "custom"?
But, a bigger engine wont get you going any faster. Just get you to that speed faster. So while 6BT would be cool, it has no connection to this discussion.
As he mentioned there is an electric motor to power the system in the event of a failure or the engine isn't running. So really this system is more fail safe them a normal brake system that would be very hard to control without vacuum or air pressure.
I know this might be crazy talk, but has anyone ever replaced the turbo with something more modern? Turbo design has come a long long way in the last thirty years, not to mention 50.
I agree with all that. Granted I've always done it without the heatshrink, but that is a good extra layer of protection. Soldering the terminals is the way to go.
Edit: didn't notice you linked to Delcity. I purchase all my wire and terminals from them, and sometimes Waytek if they don't have...
