How do you flush a deuce cooling system

How BIG are these "blobs"? I'd be concerned that these blobs might get stuck in a narrow passage & clog up some other part of the system......

    Good Deal or Not

Yeah, that BarsLeak stop leak and similar products do tend to plug more than just leaks. Although they might stop a small leak they also tend to plug up heater cores, radiators, and other areas of your cooling system. MIGHT be an option IF you are stranded somewhere & need to limp it home...

    PTO seal kit?

Is that the seal for the Driveshaft or for the Control Shaft? I think "dcwilkie" was referring to the control shaft seals. ALSO, who makes/sells the double lip seals?

Oh Yeah! M35A2 Deuce and a Half FireTruck Lights and strobes-still a work in progress

NICE! BUT I was HOPING to hear the sirens also!! (Gotta get the full experience! And wake the neighbors!) Is this gonna see fire fighting duty? OR is it just a "toy"?

    PTO seal kit?

Memphis Equipment has the seals & the boots. I just bought a pair of each. Other parts suppliers probably have them as well....

    4 wheel drive not engaging

"SmokeyBobber" Please don't get too offended by anyone bashing you regarding the brakes issue. Brakes have always been a VERY SENSITIVE ISSUE here on the Deuce forum! (Best to avoid mentioning any brake deficiency.... IMHO... Unless you are requiesting brake system advice...) Most...

Should I buy it or not?

I'd DO IT! But then again I'm kinda biased.... As said earlier, offer less than he is asking. I'd bet good money that he'll take $2K. Maybe less. But $2500 isn't bad if it is complete & in good running order. Make sure the brakes are in good working order, and check that the trans...

    4 wheel drive not engaging

BACK TO THE ORIGINAL QUESTION>>>>>>>>>>>> Sounds like your issue is in the xfercase. IF it is air operated, the air actuation system could have an issue. If it is a sprag, the clutches could be bad. Tell us which system you have & I'm sure we will follow with suggestions to diagnose &...

    the deuce is home

Sounds like a nice truck! Glove Box Cover should be easy to find/replace. Brake lights issue: I'd guess that either your military light switch is in the wrong position, or switch could be malfunctioning... OR your pressure switch is bad... OR you have blown bulbs... OR maybe just a loose...

Called GL this morning about hold and...

I'd say go ahead & get it titled ASAP!! IF you can get a valid title I'd have to think that it will be harder for GL to "reclaim" your truck or otherwise make your life difficult. Let's hope that the "posession is 9/10's" rule applies!

I would, but my popcorn cart is in the shop.... ...wait for it... ...wait for it... ...getting the BRAKES FIXED! roflrofl (Note to Moderator: We REALLY do need a "popcorn" smilie!!)

    That's a lot of "IF"s.....

    4 wheel drive not engaging

:ditto: I can almost understand someone "limping home" a short distance with a brake system that has just recently failed. But I can't understand why anyone would knowingly go out driving or "wheeling" with no brakes! :cookoo: Your life, and the lives of those in your path are more...

    is 60k to many miles

Proper maintenance is MUCH more important than mileage. There are MANY old cars & trucks out there that have been properly maintained, have PLENTY of miles on them, & still run/drive great! There are also many relatively new cars & trucks out there that have been neglected, abused, and...
