Ilink ended up replacing the shift linkage bushing that is just beyond the firewall. On the column in the engine compartment. Don't lose the little plastic insert on your existing one if it is even still there at all. Problem solved.

Wouldn't it be smarter to mount my solar panel on my dash and just route the wiring through the firewall? Too much light blockage there?

Is there any way I can tell what type of brake fluid my m1009 is running? I know they call for dot5, I just dont want to add dot5 to dot3, I understand the fluid then jells. Maybe just do a small sample mix? Is there anything I can look for?

I used Classic chevy truck parts of America. I have also used LMC. Overall, Most all of the items I have purchased from Classic Chevy were of better quality. Particularly the seals and weatherstrip.
