    stoplight switches on m275 tractors

Johan, the hydraulic pressure switch is regarded by many as a weak link in the hydraulic brake circuit. You may want to consider putting in a second air pressure operated switch and replacing the hydraulic one with a pipe plug. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

    Greasing a Deuce

I just finished greasing mine. If you only have a hand pump grease gun, my condolences and the best of luck. Aside from your arms falling off halfway through the job, some spots are so tight that you will have a hard time pumping. Maybe an extra long hose helps. Do yourself a favour and get an...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Queen Lola got her oil and filters changed. 1 gallon of Lucas oil stabilizer, 10 quarts of Rotella T5 15W40 and 8 quarts of 5W40 heavy duty diesel oil I had left over. Also complete chassis grease job today. Why is it that the grease nipples that do not work and need changing are mostly the...

    New deuce owner seeking advice

9.00R20 and 10.00R20 are very close in outer diameter, according to tire size charts available online. 40.1 vs 41.2 in diameter. New, that is. Who knows how big or small the difference is with different tire wear. New they are within the 3% size difference generally acceptable for tire sizes...

    Uses for Deuces

I honestly do not know how I am able to live my life without a knuckleboom or a dump truck. It seems that a guy needs to own both to be able to do meaningful stuff. I think you are doing the right thing there.

    Parking brake handle relocation

You have no idea what you are missing with your whale tail. The gentle feeling of impalement with the new style handle when one slides off the seat just slightly the wrong way when getting out of the truck. Yup, brake's on! No light needed! I don't see why it cannot be relocated. It is a...

    New deuce owner seeking advice

Some owners fit an in-line fuel pump when the in-tank one quits (less$$$), so look for that as well. While normally they are located somewehere above and outside of the fuel tank, farmer ingenuity can place them anywhere along the fuel supply line from the tank to the injection pump.

    Type of motor in Deuce

Nice to see an M35 brush truck that is not overloaded to the hilt. One water tank as depicted, plus pump, hoses and assorted equipment keep it nicely within the 5000 lbs offroad envelope. I have seen many that are well over the 10000 lbs cargo weight for on-road and then mercilessly beaten off...

    MY Airpack Rebuild with Photos!

Thanks for this useful thread. I finally rebuilt the defective airpack that I had sitting on the shelf for 10 years. The air can was good (I honed it anyway) and I tore the paper seal for the air can lid. This seal is too tight...I had oiled/greased it to make it supple, but it still tore...

    Water pump rebuild kit

The danger of the fan taking out the rad is one reason why I replaced the steel fan with a plastic one from Summit Racing. The blades can be trimmed to fit with scissors, it moves a lot of air and is easier on the water pump bearings than the heavy steel fan.

This is great, thanks for posting! This project is #2 on my to-do list! :)

What to do with damaged LDT 465

Thanks for the moral support. I have the lump stored away now. BFH, scrap wood and another two hours of coaxing the thing to its final resting place. There are times where I so wish I had a huge shop, with a smooth concrete floor and tons of space. On second thought, I should have placed the...

New to M35, getting started, where am I leaking?

Here are the pics from the manual re turbo lines: Difficult to see but a head gasket oil leak at the rear of the block could also have oil running down the back of the block and then over to one side and down onto the starter. Something to look for.

New to M35, getting started, where am I leaking?

The oil supply and oil return lines for the turbo sit on the passenger side near the starter. Return line has a fabric covered piece of high temp hose to connect the metal line to the block....I'd be suspieious of that one. Other than these, it may be the oil pan itself or its seal leaking in...

    M35A2 Turbo Swap

Second the flange bolts issue. If they have been on there long enough, you may even have to "blue wrench" them off. Maybe source replacement bolts before you start the job to avoid down time, I also recommend using copper nuts, for that exact reason.

What to do with damaged LDT 465

Since I replaced it with an LDS in 2017 I have the old "lump" taking up space in various locations around the garage . I built a new storage shed and had the great idea of moving the 1600 lbs monster into that yesterday. Great idea. In case you are wondering, an engine hoist will crush a shed...

    Valence's 1972 M35A2

Good score! Despite the frustrating parts, let me tell you how lucky you are that you have an opportunity to bid on such items AND pick them up at a facility not too far away. No such opportunity here for me, unfortunately, just checking GovPlanet and being jealous!
