They are indeed. I now use airtex pumps from rock auto. They are cheaper, but require an inline fuel filter between the tank and pump, there is no strainer built in like in the facet pumps.
Aluminum tank, 17 gals. I wanted bigger to give me almost a full 24 hours of run time but I couldn't find one with the space I had available. I am however going to build some type of aux fuel setup to feed it off a larger tank in the future.
Just a thought, what type starter do you have on your set? The new gear reduction type starters do a much bettter job of spinning over these engines than the old models. Maybe a weak starter and your just not spinning over fast enough to light off. Did you check valve adj? And when the unit was...
Like storeman said check electric pumps first. With the master switch in run you should hear the pumps running and should have a return flow back to the tank.
Heres what I have and I think works well. First I took 1 1/4 X 1 1/2 bushing, ground off the threads on the 1 1/2" side, then got an exhaust pipe adapter 1 1/2" X 2" and slid it over the bushing, welded adapter to the bushing. Then I used 2" 90 deg exhaust pipes and connected 2" Stainless...
Check your glow plugs I have seen alot of sets come thru with 12 volt glow plugs and they burn up first time you use them. If the smoke clears up after about 15-20 mins of running you might want to also pull the injectors and send them to storeman to get checked, he has found alot of injectors...
I check mine with a infared thermometer and remember about 400- 500 degs measured when I point it at the ex pipes. I havent done it in a while so I can't be dead on with my numbers. I have never had a pyrometer in the exhaust system to really know the exact ex temp though.
First do you have an 002 5kw or an 003 10 kw? I looked at the recommended breakers for your machine and it appears at 208V/3phase you would need #6 wire and an 80 amp breaker. I have a miller synchrowave 350 similiar to your lincoln and it runs 208V 1phase with a 125 amp breaker. I don't think I...
I have an 005 that a friend wants to use at his shop. He has 120/240 3 phase Delta service. Has a 120/240 Delta configuration ever been done on one of these generators? Thanks
I had everything running heat, computer, TV, Dryer, Oven and microwave all worked pefectly and still do. I get mine from various sources, refurbish them and then sell them. If interested PM me.
If you plan on using the cord to power the shop later on then why not size it for the full output of the generator now, 208-3ph 34 amps i think and around 50 amps 240 single phase if my memory is correct. just my thoughts
