Please post your pics of M123

BKubu told me that looking at 10-tons and owning 10-tons are WAY different things. They are great to fawn over and restore, but try driving one don't the road and "pucker factor" gets a whole new meaning.

    cannot upload pics in chat

Tried all sizes of pics, B&W or color, .jog or .gif, doesn't matter. Whenever I try and upload a pic, it just sits there saying "uploading" and it never gets done. FWIW, I PMed mangus about it, apparently he doesn't care much.

    Truck topper on my M101A2

"what time does Santa's trailer show up, Daddy?" Sorry, it's a great idea, but it needs to be GREEN.

    Mity Mite found

Pretty neat, if you don't decide to restore it, please title it and sell to someone who will. Those are getting hard to find parts for, but don't be discouraged...

    2011 Findlay Show...After Action Report!

That would be the M38A1D Davy Crockett launcher you're thinking of. BUT the rounds in the picture are 100% for sure 3.5" bazooka rockets. I am wondering if the bracket that is holding them is unique to the nuclear launcher, or to the bazooka rockets....

    How Beautiful is this!

Is that what happens when a unicorn poops in the passenger seat? rofl

    2011 Findlay Show...After Action Report!

What was that last pic in group 1, the bazooka rocket bracket? Never seen that before, is that a custom item that the owner made for his display, or is it a rarity that we've never heard of?

10 ton wheels on 5 ton?

Coker tire is making brand new 11.00x20 NDCC tires, we always hope that one day they buy the molds for the 14.00x24 tires that the M123 uses, but even if they did it would be horrendously expensive for new tires....

Please post your pics of M123

There never was a dump 10-ton in this series, it must have been a civvy transplant of a dump body on a M123 chassis. The only 10-tons in the series were the M123 tractor and the M125 cargo body.

    Why so Hot?

You're forgetting an obvious suspect - the gauge is faulty and reads a little high. I've seen it on all sorts of MVs, mostly deuces, but I'm sure CUCVs can have it too. You might check the temperature cable from the thermostat to the cab, not sure how hard it is to change out the temp gauge...

Dude, a VW bus looks so wrong not painted up with peace signs and flowers.

    Troop Seats Refinished

That's the nicest pair of troop seats that are original wood I have ever seen. Even with sanding and power washing, 30 years of weather have taken their toll on most of the troop seats I have seen, with swelling, shrinking, cracking, splits, etc. Yours look like the wood was replaced, not...

    Police CUCV on duty W/pics

What do you do with the contraband? Kinda be bad to burn it, the officers in charge of the burn barrel would be getting high. Shredding it? Landfill? Kinda weird looking at a huge stash like that in the back of your truck, and knowing it's a helluva haul, but also don't know what to do...

maintenance weekend for 2011 Graves Mtn rally

Anyone? A few guys helped out in years past, don't be shy. Unless you have something going on for Memorial Day weekend, I know this is a bad weekend to get together....

    Early 725?

The hood letters are kinda like your SSN, they are the vehicle's "ID", it doesn't tell where it's been but it should carry the same hood number throughout it's whole military career. 10041 indicates a manufacture date early in 1967. There are some M715s on the Zone that puts that 10040-10050...

    My AN/GRG-46C Project is Finished

To prevent you from bumping your head on it? Probably, my guess it as a deterrent to those who want to grab hold of the antenna base if they are climbing on the truck. Red indicates "WARNING", and there's a lot of RF juice running through that antenna while in operation.

M35a1,Lack of Power and No Smoke from Exuast!!!!!!!!!!!

Ditto on the filters - my deuce had the same problem on the trip to and from Aberdeen. Changing the primary fuel filter at the show produced a muddy old filter. I'm sure the secondaries are the same way since they are 6700 miles old as well. Filters are the cost we pay for running crap fuel...

maintenance weekend for 2011 Graves Mtn rally

Cabell said he's coming up to Syria VA on Memorial Day weekend, and we are planning on doing some trail scouting and light clearing on Saturday May 28th. I plan on doing some work that day, already cleared my schedule so I can help. Anyone else local to Central VA wanna help out? We have...
